We would be interested in meeting up on the first day. What time is this planned for? Also, when is the Palo brunch? I must have missed it when I reviewed all the old posts. Would you have room for 2 more?

Do we want to meet before the safety drill - most people will be on board and won't have to compete with folks for a space yet? (I've done this on the hidden deck on Deck 7)

Or designate a time (work with DCL for a place) on the first full sea day? (We did this in the promenade lounge.)

Unfortunately, without a schedule from previous cruises, it's hard to avoid other cruise events...

Sorry, meant to add, please count us in for a meet and greet. We can't make dinner on the 11th, but we can meet anytime on the cruise - just let us know where & when.

Last cruise there was a sommelier tasting. This one was $30 a person, but we decided to do it anyway. Well they were running 15 minutes late, so they comped it. DH finished off the $100 bottle of champagne. Not many things free, so that was nice. But all the tastings, you just go to guest services to put on your room acct. and they give you a ticket for the tasting.

The seas were a little rough. DCL had an issue in the theater; they could not break down sets and postponed our villains night by one evening. There was no themed dress up for this scheduled. They were able to show Villains the next evening, which was semi-formal night. It was cute, but the boys thought that Hades wasn't tall enough. Actor would be an excellent Jay Leno impersonator!

I've been seeing people referring to GTY or GYT, what is that?

GTY is when they let you book the category but no room assignment. You are guaranteed a room in at least the category you book or higher. If they put you in a higher one you do not pay for the upgrade. Usually by now all staterooms have been assigned. Sue

Ok so I havn't been on in a long time..but have read everthing. I'm going to try and post again after i get back from workout class.....anyway just 1 thing not sure who posted ot. But this is what my DH ( Mark ) & i just talked about. Getting together on the 1st day at sea. We did that our 1st time & was nice to see the poeple we've been talking to. So I think i would be great to do. This way you know everyone when we go out and do our excursions . Have to go will try to get on later. HAVE A GO DAY!!! OH we HAVEN"T get our DOCs.

If we get the room then I will let you know. As of now we are full - I think, but someone always seems to drop out. If you want you can send me your names and room #s so I will have them if needed.

We're not assigned yet. GTY cat 12. Here's what I'm hoping is happening... DCL is offering upgrades to two families who happen to be booked in connecting cabins somewhere (maybe cat 10 or 9). When those families take the upgrade, they can slide us up into the connecting rooms and sell another pair of cat 12s to some new comers.

If I remember correctly, we'll be a little at the mercy of DCL for time and venue, so stay tuned and as soon as I have some details, I will fill everyone in!

That maybe us...We have connecting cabins and hoping to get upgrades??? We're 6640-6642.

I just checked and there are only 3 cabins left that are connecting. 1 cat 7 and 2 cat 9s. There were 9 left yesterday so someone has gotten upgraded!

I can't remember how we did it..didn't have about 50 at that time. Think we just meet in adult pool. And we had name tags. Meet around 2 in the afternoon.

Ok we just got our DOC's and didn't get upgraded... So things gettin closer and still haven't thought of packing!!!

We're coming in the June 11. Was there some poeple that was going to try to meet that night? If so where? Also any ideas on a place to stay by airport?

Here is what we're doing 14th viking heritage, 15th city/harbor tour, 16th berlin past/present, 18th st. pete's shopping then evening canal tour,
19th city highlights & hermitage, 20th helsinki highlights & finnish food tasting, 21st royal palace & water ways. I'm sure you all really wanted to hear. But thought i would be nice to see that someone else maybe on the same adventure that you know.

So now I'll just will set back count the days and then go crazy on the idea of packing....boy i hate that idea! Hate to pack!!! Always bring to much and always forget something.

My docs arrived today with the regular mail! Just for the record, we use DU and it looks like they were sent directly from DCL.
I'm happy to see that we will be traveling to Berlin via train. When I booked the excursion it said either train or bus, but I think train is so much more exciting.

I called DCL and ask how many connecting cabins there were available. There are still quite a few that are next to each other.
