Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

We haven't in the past but we are this trip. Saves on the packing!

Gydell, that's what I was thinking too. If I rent, that will take the bulkiest item out of the garment bag. I think we'll still have to use it for dresses and his nice shirts, but we can get more in it without the suit.

We're renting the shoes too.

Gydell - how was your bday?? I hope you had a great day (btw - you share your bday w/ my neice :) )

I think most of you know that my daughter Jamie is graduating from high school and this is her graduation present.

Anyway, good news to share.....she got her acceptance letter last night via email and has been accepted into Brigham Young University (they have a wonderful music/dance/theater program). She will start this fall.

Needless to say, she is very excited!

I don't mind packing his shoes. Those can either go in the bottom of the suitcase or in the garment bag. I'm the one who will have too many shoes probably.:lmao:

Our group (myself, husband & a friend) are interested in meeting for dinner on the 11th in Dover also. Just let us know where!

Has anyone heard if Disney has announced the days and times of their shore excursions in St. Petersburg yet?

I got a package from Fed EX waiting for me ... Going to pick it up tonight.. Says it has to do with tour itinerary information .... can't wait.

I don't mind planning dinner in Dover. I'll send an email to my B&B and ask for a recommendation. I'll post on the board what she suggests, and let you all know. If you want to attend, please pm me with numbers. Thanks.

I've got the start times for both of our tours, don't remember what they are off the top of my head. I'm pretty sure they have this information, but it's just not published anywhere. Not very helpful for planning I know.

We're doing the Majestic Spilled Blood Cathedral and Boat Ride Tour the first day and Pushkin and Peterhof the second day.

Hi everyone! Now that I also am paid if full, it really feels like we are going!:cheer2: I've been bad and just been lurkiing for a while but you have really given me some great info!

Kailey's Mom - on the Med 2007 cruise we did they had a 3-ring type book in the room waiting for my DD when we boarded. Each night before a new port, they would leave pages to add to the book about the new port and even some games if I remember correctly. Now that my DD is 10, I hope they do this again. I think she will appreciate it more now. Can't wait until March 14 to book the excursions - so I can feel poor once again!
Thanks Linda! My daughters will be 12 and 6 1/2 at the time of the cruise. I am so glad to hear that there may be something like that on our cruise! Makes for a great souvenier(sp) as well :)

Looks good! Count us in - 4 adults & 1 child.

We couldn't hold out any more and bit the bullet and booked our airtravel.
Going on Delta from VA through Alanta to London. $2,800 for the two of us but I just keep remembering that we are going on DVC points so the only out of pocket other than the hotel in London is $95. We had to laugh that the airfare for the two of us is just about the same price as one person on the excursion to see the Dream being built. We are now ready to go! Get to book shore excursions on the 27th! Sue:dance3:

The Fed Ex package was a cruise info brochure... Info looks good ... can't believe the cruise is getting this close.

Only thing that surprised me is the comment that it is illegal to bring Rubles in or out of Russia? I was at my bank today asking about purchasing foreign cash. I mentioned Rubles and they didn't say I wasn't allowed? I have a friend at work who is from Russia, so I will ask her.

I read that also. That kinda freaks me out. How are we going to get them and spend them before we leave when it's only 2 days? Please let me know what you find out!
