Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

The Excursion to see the Dream at the shipyard sounds awesome, but $$$$ .... Don't know if my budget can swing it!

Once I saw that it included a private jet to Papenburg, I knew it was going to be expensive. I think I would rather spend the day touring Berlin since I don't know when I'll get to see Berlin again.

I've only had a quick look through the excursions but I haven't seen anything I would rather do with Disney than do myself. It has given me a better idea of what there is to see in the various ports though.

The Disney Dream one did catch my eye but it's a long way to go to watch a ship being built when you could see some of the country instead.

Called DCL about the Signature Collection (others may already know about this...sorry if I'm behind the times). The CM said that once you have paid for your cruise you can email the form (link in excursion description) and they will put you in your booking time category (i.e., 105 days or whatever applies to you). The important point is that within that category you will be put in order of when you email in your form.

Just fyi for those of us that haven't dealt with Signature Collection excursions previously.

If you send in a request, are you committed to attending? I don't like committing myself without knowing the cost, but don't want to lose a spot in line while waiting for the cost? Oh the dilemma!!!

I have already received an answer to my request for a private tour in Berlin. It said that they will not know anything for a couple more weeks. You will be able to decide what and where you go. They are keeping my request and will notify me of the details when they have them and then I have to decide.

Was that for the Private Vehicle and Train signature tour? I really liked the look of that one, but it might be more than we need. I need to look through all of the tours for Berlin and see what sights those go to and see what goes where and see if I would be more interested in a custom tour or would be just okay with a regular tour.

This ought to be interesting, because if we do a Signature Collection (to the shipyard) with our group, we would have platinum, gold and silver Castaway Club members...........

Yes it was for the train and Berlin tour. We want to go to a concentration camp and DCL said that we just have to tell the driver.

Are we still on for Sat? 12pm at Rosie's?

That tour might be interesting since you can customize it to see whatever you want to see. Wonder how much it is though?

Saturday at 12, see you there!!!! Should we wear our respective team colors so it's easy to find each other?

The CM said that they will call you to confirm that you do indeed want the excursion. Once you confirm and there is a slot for you, you can't cancel after that point. These Signature Collection ones are nonrefundable.

I was told that "Payment would be due at the time of booking and would be non-refundable" ... I was also told that I would have to wait until the 90 day mark to book as I am a silver castaway member.

I'm waiting to hear from them, and get a price before I commit. When I hear anything ... I'll let you know.

I'm investigating the "Building the Disney Dream" tour in Germany. Thinking it will be out of my reach, but I can dream! (no pun intended)

Well - I paid off our cruise on Wednesday. Some of the excursions look really good - still not sure what we're doing in Germany - Berlin interests lauren and me, doubt that Frances will want to do that. Be easier if the excursions had prices....

I'm heading to London for a couple of days on Sunday to see my son. I made the same flights as our cruise just to check things out. Have never flown transatlantic out of Charlotte.

Our cruise is paid in full too. Can't believe we'll be making ressies in less than a month. I've got a few ideas, but I've got to get everyone to sit down and make final decisions and yes, prices would help greatly in the decision making process.

Have a great time in London visiting your son!!!! Good idea taking the same flights that you will be for the cruise, no surprises hopefully. That's another thing we still need to finalize is flights.:scared1:

Not paid off yet. Laura left for Glasgow on Tuesday with transfers to London today Winchester on Monday and home to Lubbock on Thursday. Too bad she has to work while she is there. I hope we can look at shore excursions when she gets home.

I would have rather waited a month to pay it off - but since we're in a suite - they changed it to 150 days out.....
