Patty~ I have 2 teens, Eric is a big guy, think Hoss Cartright, 16, freak him out like Mikes son, say hi and he'll start a conversation. Cant miss him, also about 6'2.
DD is new teen, so I dont know if you'll see her too much.

NOTHING packed yet, but I have called the credit card companies, got international phone added to my plan, printed out labels for my FE gifts, got the last bit for my Secret Mickey gift.

Chuck has packed for Patrick today. Talked to the Care Center and tried out the Skype again. He's gonna love that! We are taking him out to lunch and then signing him into the Care Center.

After he's settled, I'll pack for myself.

Talk about waiting to the last minute! We FINALLY got our cabin number - 5020!!! Looks like we lucked out with a secret porthole cabin! Can't wait. Just unpacked from my LAST business trip in time to pack for the cruise. Still trying to decide what clothes to take. Limited to one suitcase each and mine is FULL. DH wants to put some of his things in my case. Guess repacking will be the "play of the day" for the next day or so but golf is a must before we leave.

I have sent out a bunch of spreadsheets. My intention was to make a nice looking one to give to folks... well, that didn't happen.

If anyone is not excel savvy and needs some help tonight, just let me know.

The last update to the roster is done. I fly out to London tomorrow! I checked in for the flight and it is PACKED! There were only 2 open seats on the entire plane. I was even going to look at paying extra for the legroom seats, but even those were gone. And I checked in for the flight just as it opened up.

Weather is not going to be that great, but we will make do. We are on vacation! A little rain won't hurt.

DISBoards Disney Magic Cruise Scavenger Hunt

For our FE gift to everyone, I've created a photo scavenger hunt from photos I took on an earlier cruise. And the winner will get a $25 Disney gift card!!

Every stateroom will receive a form and instructions early in the cruise, but in case anyone changes rooms and I can't find you, or if you want to play as individuals rather than as a whole stateroom, there will be extra forms located outside our room, 8028. Just wanted to post that here so everyone would know.

We fly out Wednesday night. Almost there!

Still no confirmation from DCL on our dismeet place and time. I'll write to them again. I've never had them wait until the very last minute like this! Must be because this is the inaugural cruise and they just don't know what activities will be where yet.

How about this, tentatively we can meet at 2pm at:

No rain: Secret 7th floor sun deck
Rain: Promenade Lounge on Deck 3 outside Parrot Cay

Does this work for everyone? And if this changes, I'll drop notices at everone's cabins.

If you change cabins, please find me at the kids' meet at 3pm on embarkation day so that I can get the information to you.

... Most of the countries we're visiting are known for their textiles and Christmas ornaments. I might consider a Christmas ornament from each country...

A while back, my wife and I started collecting ornaments of/from all the places that we visit. It's fun to see them all on the tree.

I have an Excel spreadsheet I created. Don't know how to post it. I pm'd you, but if anyone knows an easier way to share, then let me know.

In Russia, they make black lacquer boxes with miniature scenes painted on them. They can be very pretty. The more detailed and fine the miniature painting, of course, the more expensive. The original artform was to recreate scenes from Russian folktales, but many of the ones you see today are just created for tourists with more contemporary designs.

That's sounds interesting -- and not so large that it's a big deal to find a place for it, for those family members of mine who may have a little bit of hoarders syndrome!!


On another note, does anyone know for sure what the cut-off time is to change cruise plans/excursions on the web site? I'm thinking we have till Wed. to make any changes, reconsider what we do or don't want to get locked into (payment wise)!!!

It took 2 years to get here & now it is coming so fast!!!
