Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Mary Jane,

Will this be appropriate for young children? Or is it not a child-friendly place?

We'll be in Dover that evening and would like to join a group if kids are welcome.

Thanks!
Joann

Welcome! We plan on bring our 8yo gs so it will have to be kid friendly!!!:lmao:

We are still in Mexico and I get a call from dear ole mom saying that she is going to Mayo Clinic on the 10th of May and expects me to go with her. What is wrong with my sister or brother or dad going????? Looks like I will not be going on my trip on the 12 of May!

What time is everyone arriving at the port on Saturday? I am looking at booking our train tickets from London to Dover. I know we have to be on board by 4pm but what time will they start letting us board? And then for our return trip to London, what would be a good time? Thanks!
Carol

We plan on being there around noon. You really should be on board by 3pm - and if you want to try to book anything last minute for Palo and such, even earlier....

Gydell and Joann ... just heard back from the restaurant, and they don't see a problem with having kids at the restaurant. I think they will be seating us in a private area so this should make it easier for us to talk!

More Folks being added KEWL!!! welcome one and all.

We plan on being at the Port in Dover as the ship arrives.

Do you know when that will be? We were just chatting today about what time we'd need to be there, how long to unload the car etc. Will there be porters etc to help? Once you've checked in do you have to sit and wait til your time or can you head back out and come back later? If not what is there to do to entertain two little ones? When we caught the Magic in Barcelona there was a big mess up, we later found out if was something to do with problems docking. But they lined everyone up and told us we'd be boarding any minute, then left us there for a few hours. I hope that doesn't happen again!

The booklet we got from Disney said that the terminal opens at 10am and boarding begins around 1pm.

Joann, Patti & Carol - must be the magic number, my daughter, Sabrina, is also 9, so was thinking maybe the girls might like to have an email chat beforehand (add to the excitement...like that's needed)! Joann, I think I remember reading that your daughters do ballet, so does Sabrina & we have signed her up for the Russian ballet masterclass - that should keep her ballet teacher happy!

Rachel

The girls don't know about this trip yet! DH keeps laughing at me saying that I'll never be able to keep it a secret. He's probably right! And I love the idea of getting the girls in touch via e-mail before the cruise. I'll pm you my e-mail address so the kids can introduce themselves. The girls know we are planning a cruise for Christmas, so for now every time we say cruise, they think we are talking about that one.

Taking the cruise means the girls will miss their ballet recitals, so I looked at that master class and thought it would be really cool. I mentioned that on "some cruises" they have special professional ballet teachers...Caitie got all excited, so maybe I'll sign her up for this. ;)

Hi all, I know this has been discussed before, but we've only just finalised our private tour for St Petersberg. Am I correct in thinking that we need to get crisp, new US dollars to pay for the tour & does the denomination matter? My local bank is going to think I'm crazy!

An e-mail chat would be fun. Or someone can set up a kids thread for the June 12 cruise and the kids can post comments. I have been meaning to do this but I never started a thread on this board and would need to figure out how to do this.

Count us in then! :cool1:

We are using Disney transportation from London to Dover on the 12th. So far they haven't notified us of the time we will leave London. I assume it will be in the 'packet' when it arrives. We made our reservations with AAA so we will probably receive it a day or two after everyone else. Has anyone heard what time Disney is planning departures from hotels in London on June 12th? I am very curious!

Hi we are in!!!!
Very last minute but soooo excited we were booked on the 11 night christmas cruise this year but flights looked too expensive so when the cat 12on this were reduced we couldn't resist. If not too late can I join in FE? Never done it before because we had to fly over and never enough room in cases but the kids would get a real kick outta it. Dont yet have a room # as still on grty. Is that ok?
Very busy making arrangements etc but been trying to read thru all the posts and feel like im getting to know everyone. So far im on Feb this year so nearly caught up.

Welcome aboard. We've never done FE before but my DD and I are looking forward to it on this cruise.

I saw a recommendation for the Maison Dieu on this thread, but they have no rooms left for the night of the 11th.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for a family of five???? :confused3

Sorry to lose you from the Christmas cruise! We are a little worried that DCL will do to that cruise what they did to the NYE itinerary...BUT very glad that you can join us on this one! We also just jumped on board and are catching up too.

See you in 45 days!!!!! :cool1:

I don't know when we will arrive. We will be driving from London and stopping at Leeds Castle, a grocery store, and possibly a couple other places before we finally end up at the ship. I expect that we will get there around 2, but who knows.

We are no longer GTY. We've been assigned stateroom 6532.

Thats good news What cat is that? Cant wait to find out our room #
Does anyone have an idea what the themed nights are? Just wondering whether to buy our pirate gear.
Also any confirmation on if Ducky Williams is on board. Really hope so. My ds(10) is an aspiring artist and we have not been lucky enough to catch him onboard yet.
Trying not to panic at ALL the things i wrote on my to-do list:scared1:
Still I have 2 weeks off from next week to do more. Especially now iv'e caught up with the posts:surfweb:
What dis meets are planned. I made sure I read thru and now I have forgotten most of it:confused3
