North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Thanks to everyone that has been working on keeping things organized and those that have taken on projects for the enjoyment of us all.:thumbsup2

Hey guys, keep us in your prayers. We might not be joining you in a couple of weeks. Jason's dad has been dealing with some heart issues and it looked like everything was starting to even back out, they were regulating his irregular heart beat with meds. Now they've discovered he may have a blockage. He's got to go off his meds and go for blood work early next week and then they're going to run some tests the middle part of the week. If things don't improve prior to the cruise we won't be going. Jason's dad is 77 and his parents are all he has left.

Will definitely keep all of you in our prayers. We have been dealing with serious medical issues in our family for almost 3 yrs and have had to cancel more than one event. Thank heavens for travel insurance!

Emily, sending prayers, hugs and pixie dust for you, Jason, and Jason's dad :grouphug:

 Prayers to you. I know what it is like to be dealing with a sick relative. My dad is not doing too well and we just pray every day that we can make this cruise.

Hope all goes well with you.

Hi!, are you taking any beginners? I've made some cards if that is some experience. Thanks, Eileen

There is no reason you can't join us Eileen..we all have been beginners...welcome:)

EEK!!!! I'm leaving in ten days and I have not packed yet either. Usually I'm finished 2-3 weeks ahead of time. Guess it's the thought of packing cold clothes. It's so different.

Wow, I've never packed earlier than the night before. ;) We only had 1 item to buy for packing, and that was rain ponchos. I wanted to wait and buy them onboard because I'd rather have cute DCL ones (because you know they'll have them since they KNOW we'll need them and will be spending money buying them, LOL!), but my little Mr. Logic insisted I save money and buy the cheap $4 ones here. :rotfl: Cruise shopping done. :rotfl2: Now toss a bunch of clothes in our suitcase and we're done. :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to the new experience of "sea days" when not even out at sea. We'll have great scenery every day! So cool! :cool1: I'll miss the waves rocking the ship but will love the chance at seeing new and wonderful things. :cloud9:

Awesome! Thanks for the info!!!

Here are the guidelines that we set up for the FE exchange.

FE Guidelines/Rules:
1) Everyone on the list will give one gift per cabin (if you wish to do more we won't stop you)
2) The cut off for joining the FE is April 3rd to give everyone time to get their gifts together.
3) Cabin upgrades/assignment changes can be made in Promenade Lounge from 2:30 to 3:30. The updated list will then be posted on the door of cabin #5129.
4) All gifts should be delivered by Monday, May 9th to give everyone time to pack all their treasures.

I'm hearing that people would like to assign days for distribution. I've thought about this and read about others doing it but the consensus seems to be that while it is nice to plan but most people don't adhere to the assigned dates. What do you guys think?

My favorite color is pink and my favorite character is Mickey!
Husband: Black and Mickey
Sean: Blue and Captain Rex (star wars)
Jack: RED and Mickey, too. :)

We are packing and can not for the life of us find one of our duffels, Oh well have one ordered that should make it by Monday.

Starting to Print off the Grass Skirt Flannel Shirt Frat Cards....

I give up trying to fit everything into two suitcases. I will be over weight so I might as well pay for the third suitcase and be done with it! Besides, it will give me more room to bring home stuff!! I could do it if we were just doing the Alaska portion, but with the repo and a couple of days at DL, it just won't work!

Yep we will be out several days and I really expect things to be cool and a pinch wet, oh well lucky to get free bags on our flights, well two each, will travel with three checked bags for us.

The Grass Skirt Flannel Shirt cards are printed.
