I was changing our excursion for Ketchikan to Best of Ketchikan by Land and Sea which was not listed before and found a new feature. DCL is packaging some of the shore excursions where you can book a "3-Port Package for ....." and then there are different groups Families, Young Families Adventure Seekers. I have not double checked the price but it may be less than the excurions separately.
Only 80 days until our cruise sets sail!

Hi everyone. Just checking in here. I started joining the LA repo thread since I'm done with the maiden voyage.....which most of you were on.

I will check to make sure that I am on the roaster.

Is anyone thinking what I am? I live in the Pocono Mountains and since the last ice storm on top of a foot of snow on the ground, I feel like I live on a Glacier. My 300 foot plus driveway is all uphill. My cars won't come up despite the 4 wheel drive and the winter tread tires we use to get up in the snow. It's like a frozen tundra outside my door. SO WHY AM I GOING TO ALASKA? I need a hot tropical cruise. Even FL and the Bahamas in Jan on the Dream were cold and not warm for me.

.....So why am I going.....hmmm....oh I remember, I have a lot of friends going on this cruise. Some people I already know and more people I would love to meet. Besides, it's Disney. I'll go anywhere as long as I'm on any DCL boat.

Looking forward to doing this cruise with everyone.

Calling all the Champagne Girls.....I'm about to make an announcement:


I will be hosting a Champagne Girls Tasting for women only on the Alaskan cruise. Every adult woman is invited. You don't have to drink champagne to attend, but it certainly doesn't hurt if you do.

Here's how it works:

I request a room from DCL. I order a variety of champagne from DCL. I put it on my bill. All the ladies attending are required to wear pink. Pink tiaras and boas will be provided for everyone to wear. We will take a group picture that will be very pink. We will "taste," "drink," "guzzle" and consume all the champagne while discussing it and many other things. It's a fun, fun way to spend two hours on a sea day.

We have a mascot, Sassy Bubbles, who is attending and will be dressed as a pink tink. We have ladies who won't drink any champagne, they are honorary members and can attend without any charge. We have ladies who will just have a little champagne and not all of the varieties, they are the sippers and will be charged $5 cash to attend. We have ladies who are drinkers/guzzlers and will drink all the various champagnes offered, they are the tasters and will be charged $10 cash to attend. I collect some money to offset part of the costs to me. In no way does it cover all of my expenses, but I prefer to offer it at a minimal price so that many more ladies will be able to attend. I always say, "the more the merrier."

If you are interested in attending please post on this thread, send me your name, stateroom number and category preference.....honorary member, sipper or taster.....so I can determine how much champagne I need to order.

Our first tasting was done in 2008 and the second in 2009. Since then three other Champagne Girls Tastings have been done by others that attended, not by me. Personally, I think they stole the name PINK for the Champagne Bar on the DREAM from us. hahaha.

Hi I have been to your beautiful part of the country at a conference at Skytop Lodge. It was in the summer so no ice then!

Hi Sue, lucky you....Skytop Lodge is really a very beautiful place. Best to do it in summer though....haha. It just so happens, I have family in VA and will be in Gloucester this weekend helping my nephew move into his first apartment. I love your part of the world too.

Please check with friends and bring them all. We don't have a date yet. DCL doesn't like to work that quickly with me. I'll put in my request today and then they will change it 5 times before we actually have the tasting. That's why I have your stateroom numbers. Listen for phone messages for last minute changes. But I like to do it on a sea day somewhere about 2:00 pm. More than likely it will be held in Diversions or Sessions.

I'll let you know more as I find out.

Will this get reposted closer to the date of the cruise? With stateroom #'s? Or is it posted somewhere that is easily accessible (and updated regularly)? This is awful but the month of March is literally the craziest time of year for me at work....and right now is the craziest time of year for me with my cheerleaders (we just got back from Baltimore----National Champions, thank you very much! )....and so I am not going to be even THINKING about putting together fish extender presents until April just a few weeks before the cruise! LOL
