Taking a mini vacation to North Conway this summer and I am considering a night or two in one of the hotels with the indoor water parks.

The two choices seem to be the Red Jacket Inn or Hampton, Inn. But neither website has much informaiton on the water parks.

Red Jacket is more expensive and I have Hilton Honors so my first inclination is to book the Hampton.

However if the one water park is better than the other it may be worth the price difference.

If anyone who has stayed at either resort would care to comment on the hotel and or the water park I would very much appreciate it !

Thanks -

I've stayed at both, but not at the Red Jacket since they opened the water park. The Red Jacket is old, and it shows a bit. The Hampton Inn is brand new, the rooms are big, it's pet friendly. I've never used the water park, but it looks great.

We stayed at the North Conway Grand hotel last summer and while there was no water park, it was a great hotel. We loved the area and the White Mountains!!

The water park at the Hampton Inn is pretty small. The Red Jacket has recently been renovated and the water park is MUCH bigger and bettter than up the street at the Hampton Inn

Thanks everyone, we will be at another hotel prior, and camping after but we wanted a day or two with the indoor water park. Just wondering if the Red Jacket is worth the extra $ or not ??

If it helps my dd's are 11 and 13 and my neice and nephew are 5 and 7 - this is mostly a treat for the 5 and 7yo but hopefully the older kids will enjoy it to.

Thanks -

We stayed at the Hampton Inn about a year ago and thought it was really a strech to call the pool area a water park. It was really a pool with slide and kiddie area.

Just as an FYI- you have to pay admission in addition to your stay at the Red Jacket to use the water park. They also do not have a "free" pool in which to swim. I believe it is pretty pricey as well. I've stayed there (but not used the water park) and it is a little run down.

Yea - the price of the red jacket is more than the hampton and dosen't include the water park whereas the hampton does.

Looks like I am going to book the Hampton - but I would still love reports if anyone has been to the hamption inn's water park.
