Nordonia Knights played a great football game this evening

But they were outscored by Dayton Chaminade-Julienne high school this evening 41-26 in the division 2 state finals. Congrats to the boys of Nordonia for playing a great game. Both teams are to be commended on their sportsmanlike conduct throughout the contest. This was the first state championship appearance by both teams and the Dayton C-J Eagles brought home the first ever state championship for their town. These two teams made it to the finals out of a pool of over 700 schools in their division. Quite an accomplishment for our football team that had a record of 3-7 last season.
