My whole family loves the Nestle Tollhouse ice cream cookie sandwiches at DLR. We almost always grab one mid-day at some point. So on our day trip yesterday we got off of Splash Mtn and stopped by an ice cream cart to buy some for the family and they did not have any. And the plastic models that show all the ice cream options also had it removed. I asked the vendor about it and he said "DLR stopped selling the tollhouse cookie sandwiches about a month ago". :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: .

Could it be the evil transfat that they are trying to rid the park of?

yeah, rumor is that to blame DarkBeer. Not sure if its true or not... :)

it happened awhiel ago in the summer. Now in place of the Tollhouse Cookie Sandwiches, there is Dip and Dots. Sour too... :)

Ahh that explains a lot. I spent my who week at WDW this October hunting them down, I evetually found one cart selling them on my last day, outside the Living Seas in EPCOT. They were my favourite snacks by far.

I feel your pain!:sad2: I was very distraught last month when we where there and no, no, say its not so, as I questioned the CM over and over. He gave me some excuse about going to lower fat content Ice cream bars, (whats that suppose to mean. Is it because its a small worlds revamp, what was he saying we're to fat to float, so they had to cut back some wear?)

they already touch Churros, but they still taste the same... but with zero transfat...

TollHouse died due to too much transfat... :|

I discovered this travesty on our trip in October. I missed them too.

So you can get the cookies still and you can get ice cream still, but you can't get the two of them together now?

But the ones they sell at DL are packaged, yes? So it's much more likely that it's a different recipe for the "set" than it is for their cookies and their ice cream.

I don't know if they are normally in the freezer section at grocery stores, but I looked the other night and there weren't any there. I don't know the ins and outs of Nestle or Disney, but I would imagine they are changing their recipe around to make it a little bit less unhealthy, and then they'll come back.

I like it that they are getting rid of transfats. Just like high fructose corn syrup, it's a weird thing created in a lab, and it shouldn't be in anyone's food!

I agree! We don't buy anything with hydrogenated oils (trans fats), and it really sucks to go to Disneyland and not be able to get certain things.

But I am sorry to everyone who has lost their beloved ice cream sandwiches. I am still sad over the yummy salads that they had before Cafe Orleans became table service.

All of this makes me wonder if they will get rid of Dole Whips...the frozen yogurt that they use has hydrogenated oil, so will they get rid of them, or pressure Dole to come out with a non hydrogenated version?

We heard this too.......but we were told Nestle themselves have discontinued them because they want to start making more "healthy" sandwhich bars....... I want my cookie sandwiches back.........I liked my trans fat!:goodvibes

I was just there 11/7 to 13 and they were listed on the menu board in CA at a cart kindof in front of Soarin' - facing the main open plaza. I was buying Mickey ice cream ears for my kids and thought of buying the cookie sandwich for myself, but didn't. I did not ask if they were actually available - but they were on the menu sign - clear as day - not crossed off or anything. I'm in Michigan and you can find them in any 7-11 ice cream case and lots of gas stations with convience centers (or ice cream trucks in the summer).
