NOOOOO! Eddie Bauer files for Ch11!

Never heard of them Obi, they are still trading though, looking for a buyer, might continue with new owners.

i LOVE eddie bauer...
i have a day pack of theirs that's lasted me forever (perhaps the reason they've gone belly up - their stuff lasts too long ;) )

Eddie bauer are a fantastic range of good quality outdoor goods, shoes, clothing etc, similar to Timberland etc. Bigger in the northern states than florida.

Bad news in this family :sad2: They sell extra long men's clothes - very handy for DH and DS, Hope they make it through.

DH is 6'7" tall - wears 36" inseam on his trousers (and 39" shirt sleeves)..

a good place for tall men's clothes is the Lands End catalogue...
DH lives in their tall men's trousers and tall men's izod style shirts...
and the prices are good...(www.landsend.com i think)
but it's a catalogue - so you have to have an address in the US for delivery (if you have it shipped overseas, you pay customs on it, not to mention hefty shipping fees)..

a nationwide chain of tall men's clothes, that has a store in orlando is "the casual male"...(i think they also have a website)
the clothes are kind of middling in quality - nothing great....
but if you're tall, you can't really be too choosy...

i only buy there very occasionally, but if there's nothing else around, you might try it...

they have a branch right across from the I-drive sweet tomatoes...

you can get tall men size trousers, shirts, socks, underwear and pajamas there - but only middle range quality....(i buy DH his socks there...they actually carry his size - he wears US size 15, european size 49 shoes)...

i'm trying to remember who else has tall men clothes...

there's a US chain that has a branch in london - i think it's called rochester men's clothes.... it's right across from harrods...
it has a nice selection of clothing, but it's very expensive...
that's where DH gets his suits now (the one in detroit, not london - when we visit my family)...
but i don't think there's one in orlando....

the regular stores carry some tall men's stuff, but not consistently....

Thanks for the info disneyholic family:thumbsup2. DS is also 6'7" :)

some more info on lands end and casual male:

lands end website:www.landsend.com
lands end is for regular people as well - if you go into each type of clothing, they usually also offer it in tall men's sizes
for example, i think these are the trousers i buy by the dozens - DH lives in them:
http://www.landsend.com/pp/Traditio...A&CM_MERCH=IDX_00001__0000000023&origin=index
i get the regular rise - 36 inch inseam (no cuff)...
i have them delivered to my family's house, but i've heard there are people who have stuff delivered to their resort in orlando....
i actually only order just before our trip - landsend is very fast....plus i pay extra for the overnight shipping (not that much more)...

casual male website:www.casualmale.com

it's a big and tall store - which always means a lot more big than tall clothes..

but they do have tall clothes for thin men, just not as much as for big men...

i see from their website they have at least 3 stores in orlando, including the one on I-drive (at kirkman road):
5728 International Dr
Orlando, FL 32819
phone: 407-363-5570
hours: Mon 10am - 6pm,
Tue-Fri 10am - 7pm,
Sat 10am - 8pm,
Sun 12pm - 5pm

it looks like there's one by the florida mall as well (at sand lake and orange blossom trail):
7939 S Orange Blossom Tr
Orlando, FL 32809
phone: 407-855-3208
hours: Mon-Thur 11am - 6pm,
Fri 11am - 7pm,
Sat 10am - 7pm,
Sun 12pm - 5pm

i looked up rochester big and tall - in florida, it's only in miami and boca raton
www.rochesterclothing.com

i forgot - another actual store you could try is Kohls.

i don't know where they're located in orlando (there are stores there, but i don't know where).

Kohls is a department store, with mid-range pricing.

my daughter loves shopping there - she always finds tons of stuff.

if your son is skinny and tall, he'll be able to buy nice trousers there - levis dockers, etc. if he wears a 38 waist, he'll be able to get a long inseam (DH wears a 40 waist, so he just missed on being able to get tall trousers at kohls)..

Land's End have a UK site too. They do some tall men's sizes but I don't know how they compare to the US sizes as my DH is only a petite 6'2".
