How long does it take to get off the ship in Port Canaveral and take the shuttle to Orlando? For a noon flight, we would have to be there around 10, is that too early?:car:

We've had several flights at noon...even 11:30 and never had an issue or been close on time. I do try to get off the ship as early as I can just in case there is trouble getting from port to airport....but it's never been an issue....

What is the process/schedule for the morning of debarkation?

You will be assigned to a specific seating for breakfast, based on your dinner assignment. You must be out of your room by 8:00 and off the ship by 9:00 (9:30 at the latest).

You can either eat at your assigned seating, or in the buffet. Or skip breakfast.

Depending if you are participating in the Onboard Airline Check in, you will either claim your bags in the terminal (not participating) or not (are participating). You go through Customs/Immigration and then out to the bus area. There you are directed to a specific bus (if you are taking DCL transfers) for transportation to the airport.

If you have your own transportation, once you clear Customs/Immigration, you go to your vehicle and drive away.

If your airline participates with OnBoard Check In, I would take advantage of that.....it really made it a lot faster for us to get off the ship and on our way to the airport.

We're flying Southwest, so I don't think so. :sad2:

Correct, SouthWest doesn't participate. You will leave your bags outside your room the last night, and collect them in the terminal after getting off the ship, so you can take the personally through Customs.

Are you using DCL transfers from Port Canaveral to MCO?

What do you mean take them through Customs? After we get our bags, we can't just leave to the airport? :confused3

No, we aren't using DCL transfers. We got a separate hotel/transportation package through GoPortCanaveral.com

You leave the U.S. as soon as you set foot onboard the ship, returning to the U.S. post-cruise you'll be required to go through Customs and Immigration -- similar to arriving in this country on a plane from somewhere else. It's a fairly simple and painless process. You'll receive a form in your stateroom the night before as well as instructions. You'll collect your luggage in the terminal after you leave the ship and bring it with you through Customs & Immigration; after you pass through Customs & Immigration, you may head outside to your transportation and be on your way to the airport.

Enjoy your cruise!

Oh okay. Is this a quick process?

Fairly quick and painless. Complete the form the night before. Have everyone's passports/IDs/birth certificates ready. If you debark with a crowd of people, there may be a bit of a line, but I don't think we've waited more than 10-15 minutes at most.

Enjoy your cruise!

The night before you can pack your luggage and leave it outside your cabin you will attach a luggage tag with a character on it. Remember who is on your tag it will help you find your bags in the morning. Be sure to keep a small bag with you to pack the things you will need the last night ( PJ's, toothbrush) and shoes and clothes you will wear home.
The last morning you will be assigned either early or late breakfast. Early (6:30) if you have Main dinner seating or late (8:30) if you have late dining.
After breakfast you will get off the ship. You will need your KTTW card for each person in your party, passports or birth certificates and filled out customs forms.
You will enter a large warehouse area where all the bags are. Over head there will be signs with the Disney characters (remember the tag from the night before). Your bag will be in that area. There are porters to help you with your bags you should tips them. Remember there are 4000 people on the ship so there will be lots of bags so you may want to put some ribbon or tape on the handle of your bag to help you find it.
You then will get in a line to go through customs. The line can be long but moves pretty fast. It has taken us 15-20 minutes to get through the line.
If you use the porters they will help you to your car or the bus.

Worst case I would give yourself 45 minutes to a hour from the time you leave breakfast till you get in your car or the bus.
