What would you recommend for a lunch on a day when we wont be entering the parks until later in the day, and do not have hoppers? Our trip is already pretty heavy on burger and sandwich places.

How about pepper market? The reason I am thinking about it is that we have wanted to check out Coronado springs for a future stay.

a couple of directions:

1) Head to Downtown Disney and shop/browse and eat
House of Blues possibly for a non DDP restaurant or Wolfgang Puck Cafe for one on DDP
Wolfgang Pucj Express and Earl of Sandwich are possibly the two best quick service places in WDW

2) Pick a resort(s) that you want to tour and book somewhere there or nearby

I think the Poly (Kona or Gran Floridian Cafe next door), Animal Kingdom Lodge (Sanaa) and Wilderness Lodge are some of the more interesting resorts to tour.

I would pick Sanaa at AKV. Very good food and a view of the animals.

Runners up would be Turf Club at SSR and The Wave at Contemporary.

Possibly pick a place to dine at one the monorail hotels and then you can make an afternoon out of it. You can eat at the resturant of your choice (check out the allears menus if you haven't already) then check that hotel out and then hop on the monorail getting off at the other two resorts; looking around, and shopping at each. Touring the outside of the property, even possibly at drink at the Poly and a walk on the beach. It is a fun way to ride the monorail and see some of the other resorts.

The Wave definately has a unique approach to food if you are looking for something other than burgers and the standard fare.

Enjoy your trip! :cool1:

I'd pick a resort that is near the park you intend to visit that day. If going to the MK, then you've got a lot of choices since its easy to get to the Contemporary, Poly, GF, Fort Wilderness and Wilderness lodge.

If you are going to Epcot or the Studio then consider something in the BW/BC/YC or the Swan/Dolphin. You can walk over to either park afterward.

Going to AK? That's a bit more open since no matter where you go its going to take a bus ride afterward. AKL is closest, but CS is fairly close too.

My choices, in order, would be the Grand Floridian Café, Sanaa, and the Cabana Bar at the Dolphin.

Raglan Road at downtown Disney is a good choice. Another favorite is whispering canyon in the widerness lodge, if you go don't forget to ask for ketchup They have an all you can eat skillet for $18. Ribs, chicken, beans, corn, mashed potatoes, cornbread.

Since you are not on the dining plan, do you have children that may enjoy the Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex? Those are not my favorites by any means, but to do once they aren't that bad, the kids really enjoyed them. Otherwise, I would pick The Wave or Turf Club for lunch, both were very good when we tried them.

Hi

How about the Grand floridain Cafe! I actaully had my wedding Breakfast in this restaurent, as i got married at the Pavillion! It was an amazing luch the food is fantastic if you dont want burgers etc, and dont be fooled by the Cafe part of the name, ( i was when we booked ) i thought it was going to be horrid lol but its a lovely place with steak and fish cakes etc on the menu, you could then ride the Monorail to the park with no problem, as its at the resort,The price is actually very resonable too IMO for a resort eatery.

In the Animal Kingdom area, my pick would be Sanaa.

In the Magic Kingdom area, my pick would be the Grand Floridian Cafe.

In the Epcot/MGM area, my pick would be the Cabana Bar.
