We are heading to Disneyland tomorrow :woohoo:and hoping to combine Maxpass with my son's DAS to survive the crowds. I knew that Fsstpass was not available on AS many attractions at DL as it is at WDW, but I just checked the list and realized that several of my son's favorites are not included. Can the DAS be used for non-Fastpass rides and attractions at Disneyland? Specifically, we would be looking for rides like Autopia, Maters Jamboree, character meets, shows, etc. If so, is there a listing somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

I have been to DL many times using DAS for my son, and do not think so, to answer your question. Some non-FP rides have WC return times, if the person using the DAS also uses a WC. So we have used those here and there, mostly in Fantasyland.

Usually at park opening the crowds are pretty low, the locals get stuck in traffic and parking, taking tram to entrance, etc. The first hour is pretty golden, so head for those rides during that time, would be my advice. Most meet and greets are not organized like at WDW, except a princess location, and perhaps in Toon Town. The people there move quicker too, with the characters, and less ask for autographs (many guests are locals and do not get autographs over and over I assume)

Yes and no.

It can be used for non-FP rides but not for things such as character meets. Anything that has a Standby time we have been able to use our son's DAS for, simply go to a kiosk and ask for a return time.

Ok, here is a list of what the DAS can be used for:
  • Disneyland:
    • Jungle Cruise (Return is at the exit)
    • Indiana Jones (FP Available)
    • Pirates (NOTE: It may be faster to use the standard queue at times)
    • Haunted Mansion (FP Available)
    • Splash Mountain (FP Available)
    • Winnie the Pooh (Generally not needed, as the wait is usually under 5 minutes, but if you use the DAS, you will return to the exit)
    • Big Thunder (FP Available)
    • Casey Jr. Circus Train (Return at the exit)
    • Pinocchio (Return near the exit)
    • Snow White (Return at the exit)
    • Peter Pan (Return at the exit)
    • Dumbo
    • Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (Return where the queue enters the building)
    • Alice in Wonderland (Return at the exit)
    • Teacups (Return at the exit)
    • Storybook Land Canal Boats (Return to the side of the lighthouse at the gate with a wheelchair symbol)
    • it's a small world (FP normally available)
    • Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin (FP Available)
    • Gadget's Go Coaster (Return to exit)
    • Mickey's House (Only if line is backed up into the house and there is a CM at the side door, then they may provide a return time and their discretion)
    • Matterhorn (FP Available)
    • Finding Nemo
    • Autopia
    • Space Mountain (FP Available)
    • Star Tours (FP Available)
    • Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters (FP Available)
    • Astroobriter
  • DCA:
    • Monsters Inc (Return to exit)
    • Guardians (FP Available)
    • Soain' (FP Available)
    • Grizzly River Run (FP Available)
    • Little Mermaid (Return at entrance and present DAS Return to first CM)
    • Goofy's Sky School (FP Available)
    • Golden Zephyer (Return to Elevator)
    • Jumpin' Jellyfish (Return to exit)
    • Silly Symphony Swings (Use Elevator and let CM know)
    • Fun Wheel (Return to the exit and stay to the right of the non-swinging Gondola queue)
    • Toy Story (FP Available)
    • Incredicoaster (FP Available)
    • Mater's (Return to the exit or ask the first CM you see, it can vary at times)
    • Luigi's (Return to exit)
    • Radiator Springs Racers (FP Available)
If it isn't on the list, then the DAS will not usually work there, usually this is the case for shows like Tiki Room, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, etc.

NOTE: DAS sometimes works at Mickey and the Magical Map and the Frozen show, depends on your needs and the CMs that are working that day.

My husband and I used the DAS Pass at Disneyland and California Adventure for 4 days last May. For rides with no Fast Pass line like Dumbo and Peter Pan we got a return time then went to the exit to board. Worked out very well for us. We did not do any character meet & greets other than those who wander the streets and we met randomly (like Loki!). We had no problem getting into any of the shows without the pass, there's usually plenty of seating even when it's busy.

Edited to add that we did not use a wheelchair, so that does not matter when getting a return time for an attraction with no Fast Pass lane. Cast Members were very kind to us (I'm the one with IBS/related Anxiety).

ok can you explain how the DAS works? I see above (return to exit etc) & (FP availiable) How exactly do you handle these different types?
I am so used to WDW where they can give you a time to return ( and its also attached to your band)
