Even though we've driven it numerous times, I thought I would solicit any advice for traveling from Annapolis to WNY. We usually go up through PA like this: 97/83/322/15/390/20A (call this A).

We've also driven this way: 97/81/322/99/80/219 (call this B).

Both routes work, neither has been significantly longer than the other from what I recall. Both take us right to where we need to go.

(Google maps offers a 3rd longer choice through Altoona that eventually ends up the same as my choice B, but I don't think we will do that).

Does anyone know any current reason why either of those 1st 2 choices would be better or worse than the other on a Saturday in July? I didn't know if anyone might know of construction, detours, or anything else. Or if you had other advice, I'm open to that as well. This is just a straight trip, no stopping or sightseeing needed.

Wow, not feeling the love today, transportation peeps! I guess if no one has an opinion, it's like I thought - six of one, 1/2 dozen...

We drove from Laurel to Syracuse during a Friday rush hour back in May, and I believe we took 295 (:crazy2:) to 695 (took the Key bridge) to 95 to 476 to 81. If it's not rush hour though, I would just take the beltway around Towson and go up 83/81.

Thank you for noticing me!
