Hi i have 4 children and have found flights on the 18th with a change on BA flights at gatwick to orlando int for a really good price. we have only ever flown direct so if someone can share what this would entail for us that would be a massive help as i am looking to book them asap xx

also how would i get park tickets this close to departure? x

They're fine. Quite frankly all airlines are equally poor when travelling in economy. Where are you connecting?

You shouldn't have a problem getting tickets; most websites offer delivery within 7 days.

I would just note the connection time at Gatwick. As long as you feel you have enough time to check in and clear security without putting additional stress on the kids it will make little or no difference to them. Children just go with the flow most of the time, but they DO pick up and play up to your own anxiety. You also don't want to spend 6 hours sitting around LGW. We are doing indirect (well it's really direct for us) EDI-LGW-MCO next year and I have no concerns about it at all.

i dont think the wait time will be more than about an hour as it is a 15 hour journey all in all! xx so think that will be ok really i need to get it booked tomorrow i think! x

Ours is just shy of 2 hours which is fine. I assume you are going with BA from your local airport to LGW as we are, so I think (but I need to check) that our luggage is checked right through and it is just a matter of clearing security.

If you have the pram with you they usually only take it from you at boarding and then give it back to you when you get off so you should have it - unless they have changed that (my DD is 9 now so don't take my word for it :rotfl:)

We've taken god children on non direct flights and they were fine. We went via Newark and via Philly. In some ways, because the first flights were around 6 - 7 hours having a break was good for them *** they got to run around a bit mid journey. They both slept for the second part :cool1:
