We have 2 rooms right next to each other on the Fantasy but not connecting rooms on Deck 6. They are both verandah family size rooms (6582/ 6584). Can anyone guarantee the verandah will open up between the two rooms?

Unless the verandah between them is not structural, normally you can open the wall even when rooms are not connected. You would need to look at a map of the ship to see exactly where your rooms are. Most are able to open but some cannot. In the picture below, the green indicates walls that will open. The red indicates places where they do not open as they are structural.

When we sailed earlier this year, the verandah wall between ourselves and our neighbours (that did not have a connecting room) blew open in the night so I know for sure those open.

It can be really annoying when one of those partitions blows open during the night and starts banging on the stop and the furniture. It’s happened to us on multiple cruises, even though I now try to check that the partition is securely latched. The room host has the special tool needed to open or close the deadbolt.

Be careful if you're joining the Verandah Club!
