Noisy rooms on Deck 8?

We were in 8100 - Port/Aft - one up from the last. From the vernadah you could look up and see Topsiders. But, as many before me have said, moving chairs in the morning was about it. Didn't wake any of us, didn't bother us, the room was great.

I have to disagree on the Cat. 12s, Dave. Ask any DCL agent and they will tell you those are in an undesirable location right under the adult nightclub and very noisy at night. I know someone who has stayed in a Cat. 12 (he was working on the ship as a contract worker for a certain cruise) and he assured me no one wants to stay in a Cat. 12 if they can avoid it.

We just got home from the 1/26 Magic cruise where we stayed in 8076...no problem with noise at all. (Heard a few chairs being moved on deck 9 but certainly nothing to interfere with sleeping.) This was actually a great location! It was near the steps up to the Mickey pool and Topsiders so we could just run up whenever the mood struck.

8572: I don;t remember hearing anything, maybe a chair.. but overall a great location! I would put the 2 small chilren to bed at night and I never heard the night parties at the pools on deck 9!:

We just came back from the 1/12 Magic and were in 8082 and friends of ours stayed in 8088. We had no problems with noise. Didn't hear a thing.

We stayed in 8516. AWSOME CABIN! (we were upgraded). When we were in the cabin in the evenings we did hear walking on the upper deck if the person was wearing heels or other dress shoes. We also heard the moving of chairs in the morning. A nuisance? Only minor. Nothing would have made be give up that cabin, or move to another location (except for maybe the Disney Suites!!!). Any noise we did hear was temporary and tolerable.

During the day at times you could hear the chairs being moved, but nothing to keep up awake...

Recently stayed in 8584, room was usually quiet. Did hear some deck chairs scraping in morning but we were already up so it was no problem. Would stay in this room again with out any hesitation.

I cruised the Magic on 9/01/01 and stayed on Deck 2 - room 2086. I did not hear any noise. We loved our room. We slept great every night. We are sailing again on 5/11/02 and I am on Deck 2 again right near where I was and I look forward to it. I am not concerned about any noises. I have also read that the laundry room could make it hot. I was also near the laundry room and I did not think my room was too hot. Actually, I am glad to be close to it so that I have the convenience of doing laundry.

We stayed on the Wonder # 8028, the only thing we did notice was the ping pong table, or when they cleaned. It didn't bother us at all. It was a great rm.

we're scheduled to be right under the band stage i think.....
probably not the best choice....but on the other hand, i have teenagers....how much worse could it possibly be (in terms of loud music that is)....
