YES... the flag has been hoisted!!!

10 teapots, and about 70 or so luncheon sets. We never really had 180 at one time, about 75 at a time. But we had, 180 people come to tea.

It was the gala winter event. Our tea party was famous. People clamored to get on the guest list.

I only wish I was exaggerating.

Actually it was a hoot. I think what shocked people so much was that they had such a great time and all they were drinking was tea. Plus chowing down on two long tables, packed with cake plates, and tiered cake plates of sweet and savory goodies.

do you think they will let you into the galley to bake?

I think, among certain circles, that's what they call a gigolo.

and I figure that you'll let me know or not if I'm invited. I guess it will be based on my behavior the night before at dinner, or perhaps if I have accumulated enough brownie points over the whole trip, or better yet if you are SCARED of me

Sadly, we don't do the tea anymore. It got to be too much for me. I started baking the day after Thanksgiving, and then every free moment I had until the day before the party.

It was so bad that I had to create a project plan.

The last, biggest and grandest tea party I was exhausted.

That's a good idea! I'd love to be in a "party" of some sort, but even though I'll be 21 on the cruise I still won't drink. Or I suppose those of us who don't drink could have Sprite and pretend it's champagne.

I'll join you even though I'll be 58yo by the cruise but I don't drink either. Maybe we can get some "fruity" drinks with umbrellas for show.
