I booked the Montserrat Full Day,Unforgettable West Madeira, Seeing Seville.
I also booked the City under seige for Gibraltar just to have something in case the deal sharing a van does not work out I can always cancel this one when we get the van set up.
I also did a Palo dinner on the 17th Does anyone want to join us?
Hope everyone got the excursions that they wanted.

Thanks to Aunt Lynn for all the stuff you are keeping track of- now I guess I can go to bed.

I'll see you on all of those except for the Gibraltar one:thumbsup2

Question everyone who booked their excursions....Are the excursions listed the same as the excursions on the normal DCL site that anyone can access? It seemed like there was not that many. Were there extra/new ones to choose from? Or was everything the same as the ones that you had already picked out from the general list?

I have not tried to contact her. I have heard others have but I have not. By starting a new thread though we don't have to contact her. This one will close in 50 pages any way.

The moderators are being supportive.

I am confused as to all the discussion? :confused3 Do you not want a new thread started? It would be so much more helpful if someone who is active on this thread updating the first page.

I am fine either way. If you would like to start a new thread, I will be there too.
Congrats to Brooklyn by the way!

I decided on the Unforgettable West Madeira, it also has the same start and end time. It does say how many hours it is though, there won't be much, if any free time at the end of the day.

We are doing that one too. Concerned that it is so long but like the aspect of swimming in the natural pools.

I didn't notice any new ones :confused3 When you first look at the ports on the DCL site in advance, it only shows some of the excursions, once you select one, you also have an option to see ALL of the excursions for that port. If you didn't try that then you might not have seen all of the excursions ahead of time. Not sure if I am being clear in my explanation? I've been up for way too many hours now, I need to get some sleep ;)

I'm a Silver CC member. My parents are not. However, their reservation is linked to ours. I was able to book their Palo reservations with us, but not excursions....any idea why since they are linked? Seems like I should be able to do both or neither, right?

I could be wrong, but I think even if the reservations are linked, there still needs to be a silver member listed in their room with them in order to get the silver benefits. For Palo, it was ok because their reservation is technically on your reservation (since they are dining with you) so the system let it happen, but with the others, I think that it will make them wait.

There are some extra (new) excursions listed that are not listed on the website.
Not that many but a few at every stop.

It will be a full day, but we should get to see quite a bit. I wish there were more details about the swim. Hopefully they can tell us more onboard. Keep trying back to see if a tea becomes available, they do sometimes.

That is good to know. I did select to view all, but it still seemed so few. On Madeira, there are only 13 excursions.

It says you can do the swimming instead of going to the Science Center - so most likely at least an hour :confused3

Hello, all -
After a loooong hiatus, I will try to re-join the thread - some 120 pages later! (I've read about half of them so far):cool2:

Anyway, will try to get caught up and familiarized over the next 80 days or so.

To AuntLynne, who I hope can do this, please (re) add our info:

Ken (Disdel) and Debbie 7626 (Nav. Verandah) Late dining

Just finished booking excursions, subject to change based on some of the info I've seen from the repeat T/A cruisers - great stuff, and thanks, esp. Brooklyn (Stephanie?) - some of the photos and notes you've all posted should be real helpful.

I'll get back to the appropriate Dis'ers re: FE, meets, etc. fairly soon. We had a great experience on our October 2007 sailing on the MAGIC, found not so much DIS activity on our November 2008 on the WONDER, and from the looks of it, expect a huge contingent of Dis'ers aboard :woohoo:

Back to catching up on post-reading, for a while at least.

Need some help.

If you choose one of the following excursions, what were your reasons - please.

Unforgettable West Madeira

Views and Parks (also Madeira)

Thanks for the help

Kristi

ok - I did not get Tea but I will check back and get on the waiting list when we board - and if not maybe someone who got it can sneak me out some cocconut macroons and hubby and I will get a pot of tea from Cove Cafe and go to the secret deck :)

I did get a foot ritual at 1:45 the day we board! My feet kill me after 3 days in the parks going and going. So this will be great - normally I have to wait till a day or two in.

Excursions:

we are doing:

Unforgettabe West Mederia

Bee Keeper for the Day in Cadiz

We are not big excursion people so this is hard for us - we are on the cruise for the ship and not the ports so I may add more on later, maybe, possibly, don't know :)

I did sign us up for Palo brunch one day - not sure which but we are down for the group so it is just a back up if we do not get a group time.

I chose the Unforgetable West Maderia because of the chance to swim in natural pool - I think that is a neat thing that we cannot do back at home.

It also just sounds like a nice full day after being on the ship for 6 days straight ;)

We are 71 cabins strong - 8.11% of 875 total cabins

Thanks to TigFanJeff on the PC cruise for this idea - I love that kind of statistic.

I'm guessing this means we are also going to be Castaway Club heavy, too.

I'm excited that some of you can book your excursions already! I am living vicariously through your ideas. It definitely pays to be a returning Disney cruise-goer so you can book early.

I take it that we don't have a date/time for our group brunch yet, right? :confused3  Can someone PM me if/when you know, so I don't book something over it by accident?

Good thing that we are planning this TA to be the first of many cruises. Even with a 75 day booking, I am feeling optimistic that we will be able to book most of what we want to book. We tend to overplan our land Disney vacations but we don't know how to be choosy for a Disney vacation or honeymoon on water LOL!!
Maaaybe that is a GOOD THING. :thumbsup2

More info on Spain coming later today, I promise! Today was busy. The book sale was fun, and I got a few items to (100%) donate to the book exchange/crew gift, if there's interest.

We also went to Joann's and bought fabric for our FE holder... We designed it together, it's Disney-themed (of course), and I can't wait to sew it! I haven't used my sewing machine in a year, so this should be fun. Clue: the actual FE we're making for you does not require sewing. ;)

It will be a Sea Day, so unless you're signed up for waterskiing off the aft deck at mid-morning, you should be fine. :rotfl:

Building a new thread for us so we can have group information at the beginning. It won't be long until open for posting...and if you do happen upon it, try to keep from posting until directed over there. I'd like to get logos, FE, SM, resource posts up first.

Thanks,
Lynne
