Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

I hope so -- I was slightly cheered by the news that Mexico thinks new cases are leveling out -- between all my assorted paranoias these days, I am exhausted -- it's hard work keeping up with the weather and all the news stories and the CDC website!
I think it will be fine. And all of the cases in the US so far have been people have been to Mexico. I really think everything will be fine. I have been hand washing and sanitizing more than normal. :upsidedow

Charles took me to a Georgia Tech football game on my birthday the second year we were dating -- he didn't do it again. :rotfl:
Blake planned to take me to the Gettysburg battlefield on my birthday this past year...in february...I think he has since learned his lesson:sad2:

Crazy DH's and Dbf's!

CP- I say pack some Purell and call it a day in terms of the swine flu or anything else. You've earned a WDW vacation!

Jess- congrats on applying for your first job! Fantastic news! Just remember that sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs (some of us -ahem, me- are still kissing frogs!!) :goodvibes

LL & JJ- you are getting so close to your trip!

Julez- 8lbs? Seriously? :worship::worship::worship:

Me too -- I even emailed our AP today to find out if the hand santitizer mounted in our rooms is alcohol-based (which they say is the kind to use -- it is).

Then, when my 6th graders had a restroom break, there was no soap in the bathrooms! I emailed him about that, too. Luckily everyone is used to me by now after ten years at that school.

:rotfl2: They do learn quickly, I'll give them that.

I just can't give up AKL!

Classic example of speaking too soon: I am always telling people how much I love Animal Kingdom Lodge because everytime I am there, it makes me feel like I am in Africa without the worry of contracting some strange disease. Not anymore. :lmao:

Now, I would LOVE to go to Gettysburg. I love that kind of stuff. In fact, when I was in 6th grade my Dad promised to take me to Washington DC to see the Holocaust Museum....I am still waiting for that trip. My parents went two years ago and I was so upset at my Dad for not taking me. He will take me! I will make him. :lmao:

We are!! I am so excited for tomorrow when I can say that I go to Disney THIS MONTH!

:lmao: That is just too funny! I was looking at pictures of AKL a few days ago and it looks so amazing. You are going to have a wonderful time, CP.

Good Morning Gnomies! Thank goodness it's Thursday. My boss has tomorrow off so it will be a good day. I just need to survive today.

OKay..........my ticker says 21 days left but I am pretty sure it's 22. Am I right? We leave on the 22nd, today is the 30th. My brain can't compute.

I just cannot wait to be there. Finally it's Thursday -- hopefully it goes fast!

I was thinking the same thing about my ticker -- I think it is a day off.

The turkey is back!!

Huge ginormous turkey is back pecking at the windows! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

It's too funny since we were just talking about that. :rotfl:

:lmao: I was totally singing Happy Birthday yesterday while I was washing my hands before lunch.

I am driving myself nuts reading all this stuff about swine flu. I need to be put on computer restriction.

That is too funny! I wish our peacock would come back -- he was so pretty.

I usually watch the news in the morning and I didn't today, I am sick of the sensationalism. Now that two cases have been confirmed is Massachusetts the news is going way overboard. The kids were sick right after their Mexican Vacation and they didn't even go to school. The public is demanding their identities be released...it's like give it a break. Let the poor 8 year old and 10 year old KIDS recover in peace.

You are talking to the girl who sings Happy Birthday twice now while she washes her hands. :lmao:

:sad2: Oh Jackie! :rotfl:

I guess it all depends on if you count today, given it is still morning I don't see how you can't but...:confused3. I always go by the number of sleeps which would be 22

On the commute to my old job, I passed a farm that had several peacocks. They often could be seen wandering around near the house but sometimes would wander. One morning I had to slow down to avoid hitting one as he crossed the street. I have had to slow down for birds, deer, dogs, cats, raccoons and other assorted critters but I wonder how often people have to avoid a collision with a peacock?

Now don't get me wrong, I love that stuff too. We went to the Holocaust Museum in middle school, you must go, it's really amazing and touching. Now about the Gettysburg thing, we had JUST gone a month and a half ago, in the snow and ice, the last thing I wanted to do was do the same thing again in february!

LL, I thought I hit quote for you, but I guess not -- I am just waiting for it come to ATL -- then the hysteria will really start.

:sad2: Oh Jackie! :rotfl:

I know!

Ready for my latest fear? The schools in Huntsville, AL have closed for the next ten days. What if swine flu comes to my little town, the schools close, and then we have to make up the days??? That could run into my dates!

 Probably not too often.
