No Work and All Play – Disney on the Company’s Dime! (8/1 There and Back Again)

I think Morocco is my favorite Pav. too. So many incredible and authentic details!!

Nice update! Morrocco really is beautiful! We spent some extra time there in March and really enjoyed it!

Way to score the pics with Aladdin and Jasmine and Belle and Beast :thumbsup2 But poor Beast! It was terribly hot that day!

It was awfully hot - I did feel bad for the Beast.
Just in my polo, I was dying all day and refilling my water battle every 20 minutes or so.
Another good reason to be alone - my kids would've moaned and groaned all day.
We definitely would not have gotten as much accomplished.
And I really hadn't even gotten started yet...

There's some less exotic foods there as well (albeit not as much fun! :goodvibes)

Thanks for the tip Mike and you are right I'm sure they won't be as much fun but my kiddies would probably prefer it . They aren't very adventurous when it comes to food lately :confused3

Great update Morocco :thumbsup2 I will have to look for that hidden Mickey on our next trip , it's soo neat ! The Photopass pictures turned out great , looks like you really had a blast with the princess & there princes :woohoo:

I saw that your next TR will be on your family 2009 Halloween trip, can't wait for that one so I can get all kinds of tips for our September trip popcorn::popcorn::

I love that Hidden Mickey - especially since it moves around the shop.
As for the Halloween trip, we had a blast and have lots of stories and MNSSHP tips.
I promise to start it once I finish this one...

Love the pics from Morocco; so pretty! Glad you got to see Beast!

The Beast was really cool!
I hadn't ever seen him before!

Wow. I got so far behind, but your Epcot pictures are stellar. So many beautiful things to see! That Tangerine Cafe meals looks really yummy. It's only 1030am, but I think I could definitely eat some of that right now. Great character pics, as usual and your mission sounds like fun!

Mmmmmm - falafel...
:rotfl:

Awesome !! Can't wait !!

Sorry I'm so behind on these.
But it is kind of fun to relieve the experience a year later! :goodvibes

Awe that's ok , I'm sure it helps to keep the magic going while your not taking trips .

Do you guys have another one on the books yet ?

Sort of.
We haven't officially booked yet but we've targeted the end of January 2011.
Our tradition has been the kids get to have their 4th Birthday in Disney.
And little X turns 4 in Feb but we thought Jan would beat the crowds (and the kids have a school holiday).

Welcome back Team Possible!
Once I heard the call from Wade, I made my way over to the Japan Pavillion as soon as possible!
IOUG2009608.jpg

It seems that the Killer Robot “Bebes” have created a Killer Baby Bebe!
The Baby Bebe runs on the elemental powers of earth, wind, air, and fire.
While struggling to harness those powers, the “tin toddler” threw the elements wildly out of balance and developed a bad case of “electronic colic.”
According to Wade, I am luckily one of the rare people with the mystical power to realign the elements and reverse the environmental damage!
Talk about being in the “right place at the right time!”
To capitalize on my good fortune, Wade installed an Elemental Enhancer in my Kimmunicator to amplify my talents.

My first assignment was to head to the castle entrance to collect some data for Wade.
IOUG2009615a.jpg

Once I transmitted the correct data, Wade sent me over the Zen rock garden at the entrance to the pavilion.
Maybe we could set up a distraction to lure the Killer Bebes into the open!
On my way, I circled by the bonsai garden that was set up for the Flower and Garden Festival.
IOUG2009613.jpg

However, I didn’t have time to stop and play – the Killer Bebes were still on the loose!
Arriving at the rock garden, Wade sync’ed up the Kimmunicator so that it wrote the Kanji character for “castle” into one of the rocks.
Here's a clip from the video I took (remember I had promised to video all the missions for the kids)
IOUG2009619a.jpg

The Killer Bebes – also looking for their Baby who has run amuck - thought the message was from her.
They interrupted the signal on my Kimmunicator to inform me that they were on their way.
Now that they were distracted, I headed over to the koi pond in the center of the pavilion.
The Baby Bebe threw the element of water out of balance and polluted the pond – it was up to me to unclog the springs and restore order.
IOUG2009609.jpg

Luckily, I was up to the task.
The Elemental Enhancer amplified my abilities so much that a new waterfall sprung forth from the rocks and restored balance to the water ways.
IOUG2009610.jpg

Tracing the path of the Baby Bebe, Wade told me that she next threw such a foot-stomping tantrum.
It had built up enough static charge to deaden the atmosphere.
The winds of Japan were now stilled and it was up to me to restore order.
I headed over to the scene of the tantrum and focused my abilities on some windchimes.
IOUG2009626a.jpg

It worked! The wind picked up and the chimes sounded!
And that was it! Wade now had enough data to track the Baby Bebe.
His sensors locked onto the Baby Bebe.
She was about to throw another tantrum within the Mitsukoshi Store.
I headed over there at once!
IOUG2009632.jpg

Wade’s readings spiked at a certain kiosk in the store.
After some searching, I located the spot and I was just in time.
The Baby Bebe – eyes glowing red – began to launch into another tantrum!
IOUG2009630a.jpg

Jamming her frequency, my Kimmunicator built up enough of a charge to reboot the Baby Bebe.
Her tantrum ceased and her eyes flashed to green.
IOUG2009630b.jpg

With the Baby Bebe rebooted, the Killer Bebe’s realized that they were, in fact, not very good parents.
This did not compute with their idea of perfection and the entire hive short circuited!
Wade then uploaded a “good parenting” program to insure this would never happen again.
Team Possible had saved the world once again!

Now, with all of my targeted missions completed for the day, I had one last assignment.
Wade directed me to a secret dropbox located within the pavilion that blended in with its surroundings.
Can you find it?
IOUG2009633.jpg

With the world saved once more, it was time to return home.
Come join me for an American Adventure!

Konichiwa!!

So glad you were able, once again, to be in the right place at the right time!! I don't know what the world would do without you!!! I feel so much safer now!

I just think these fun special effects are so dang cool! :thumbsup2

Great re-telling of the Kim Possible mission :thumbsup2 Kim Possible is as much fun for us adults as it is the kids! :goodvibes

It does seem rather than odd that the world was in so much trouble that day.
It was a very good thing I was recruited earlier than morning.
I'm not sure what would've happened otherwise... :lmao:

I definitely had a blast.
And it makes you appreciate the little details of the World Showcase that many would never find otherwise.

Great mission. That was a hoot! Thanks for retelling it.

Does that koi pond look a little crowded or is it just me?

Wow - Captain Planet - haven't heard that name in a while... :goodvibes
Japan was fun but I'd definitely rate United Kingdom, China, and Germany as the family's favorites.

As for the trip reports, I'm definitely all about the details.
That's my favorite part of the Disney experience!
Before getting addicted, I read some reports and made notes of all the "little things."
So I try to share that stuff and possibly even point out something new to fellow DIS'ers that they can look for next time around!
And the more details, the better the story, and hopefully the more enjoyable for everyone!
