April Week 2 Running Update/April StrideBox
Monday, April 7th
Today was supposed to be a rest day but it didnt happen, so I completed W6D3 of C210K up and down my street. It seems Im getting slower. My husband ran with me outside as well but I think I annoyed him with as slow as I am.
Tuesday, April 8th
Rest Day. I felt like crap all day as I thought I was getting sick so I sat at home and was lazy instead.
I did have my doctors appointment for the Advanced Massage Techniques on my leg. I think hes gotten rid of most of my pain I had! As I've ran 3 time since Tuesday by now, it doesn't have pain anymore.
Wednesday, April 9th
All morning I was planning on having this be a rest day as I still felt like crap; however, on top of being sick, Ive been frustrated at a few other things from personal life drama imploding so I decided to hit the road for W7D1 outside rather than being in self pity sitting on the couch.
I ran the fastest I ever had on the road. Im not sure how I dropped 2 minutes 30 seconds off my pace in a matter of two days but Ill take it!
Thursday, April 10th
40 Minutes on the bike then core work. I really need to just go for 60 minutes to work on endurance especially as in 2 weeks I move up from 35 minutes of running to 54 with the C210K program.
Friday, April 11th
Got home from work at a reasonable time (3:15) and went out immediately for my run for W7D2.
It seems my 13 minute pace wasnt a fluke on Wednesday! That makes me super happy for road running.
I then went out to see Oculus with one of my work friends and when I got home I checked my mail.
My first stridebox!
The running belt will be interesting to use on the longer runs Im going to start doing in about 3 weeks.
Saturday, April 12th
No sprints this week. We met at my coworkers house to do P90X Plyometrics instead.
I decided prior to the workout to try one of the pre-workouts in this months StrideBox.
This one tasted ok in comparisons to other pre workouts Ive had. It was thick but not chalky. Its the $37.99/20 tubes that would keep me from buying more but I'll see if I can find some cheaper somewhere.
The Plyometrics kicked our butts. Of course we had to do the hardest of the P90X Videos.
Sunday, April 13th
I woke up this morning more sore than usual but we needed groceries so I headed to the gym for W7D3 rather than running on the road as the two are in the same shopping complex. I thought I was going to end up slower as the amount of soreness I had but I didn't!
