Wow. I have so much respect for Amanda after having read that. I'm 32 as well and cannot imagine having gone through what she's been through in life already. What a courageous woman, indeed. I sure hope you get a chance to meet up with her and her little one.

Whoa! Quoting on a tablet is hard Our Epcot day is May 6th. We have our FP in the morning and then plan to eat around the world in the afternoon. Ryan loves that park and we didn't get to do it last time really. There's always a good reason for a return trip, right?

Candlepin is still 10 pin, but the ball is smaller. I've always wanted to bowl with the big ball with the finger holes.

Sounds like some good plans for your last 2 days. I love seeing the tigers ... but I hate the crowd that comes with it sometimes (seriously... I've seen people have to push others out of the way to get to the tigers)

I totally agree with you on FP+ for animation academy - it's so popular that I'm sure people would love the ability to guarantee their spot!

How great that you have some DIS meets that might happen. And it's so amazing that you may get to see Amanda & Mira. I know that Joe's death was very hard for your family, so I really hope you get a chance to see his beautiful family and spend some time with them.

You're trip is going to be so awesome! I think we're going to be in Epcot a couple of times at the same time so I'll be on the lookout for you, it would be nice to say hi after all these years! However, you know how I change my plans and never stick to anything so who knows if we'll actually be where we're supposed to be when we're supposed to!

I'm going to try to get my final update done tonight while Mark is working at Target.

I went home early Tuesday and spent most of the day in bed and then yesterday I had to go to the doctor. You all know I had that awful sinus infection a couple of weeks ago. Well Tuesday I woke up and could hardly sit, walk or stand...I did something to my back. It was a little better on Wednesday during the day and then fired up again Wednesday night and woke me up at 2 a.m. and I never went back to sleep. I went to the doctor yesterday and it is a muscle thing and she gave me a muscle relaxant and pain pills. It's helping a bit so hopefully with some rest tonight and tomorrow, I'll be better each day.

Kathy, are you trying to be like me or something? What are you thinking hurting your back right before your trip??????

I hope the medications help relieve it. You should have requested some prednisone, cause man, that stuff really got me back to normal in no time!

This is the last update I'll do before the trip. I'll pop in to say goodbye before I go.

I do have a few DIS meets that I hope very much happen and there is also a chance that I will be meeting Amanda and Mira. For those new to my TR's, Amanda is the 32-year old widow of a friend of my son Andy's, Joe. Joe died of colon cancer at the age of 32 after a courageous and hard fought battle. Mira had not turned one yet when he passed. Amanda, with Joe, started a blog called Cocktails and Chemo to discuss what they, as a young family with cancer in their lives, went through during this time. After Joe's death, Amanda kept Cocktails and Chemo going and now is helping other young families going through this horrible cancer. I've never met Amanda and she lives in Orlando and I am hoping she'll be at Disney one day (she goes often with Mira). She is one of the most courageous, strong women I have ever known through her words.

Such a sad, but touching story. I hope that you do get to meet her. I think there's a certain little girl deserving of a balloon.
