YES!!! :worship::worship::worship: Definitely the best french press. We went for dinner at Kona Cafe this last trip and I really REALLY wanted to the whole press, but didn't think it would be wise for night, so just had a cup.

We are spending the whole day here until park closing so we hope to get lots done.

Sounds like a good plan to me!

Alicia, you can get a cup at dinner? I had no idea. We'll be having dinner there in July and I'll definitely get a cup. You are probably right...a full pot would NOT be a good idea at dinner.

Sounds like a good plan to me!

Thanks.

I'm going to do an update now because the rest of the week at work is going to be a bit crazy. First, I work for three men. One I've worked for 39 years; one I've worked for almost 6 years and the other 2 years. Obviously the one I've worked for for 39 years is my favorite...and he's like family to us. The one I've been with for 2 years is okay...doesn't really give me much and he's not very motivated. The one I've worked with for for the last six years is a real sweetheart and I've grown very fond of him and we have a great working relationship. I found out two weeks ago that he is leaving the firm. I knew this would happen eventually as I know he's not been real happy with the way the firm is going. But I though it would be late summer before he left. His last day is Monday. We went to lunch together today. I'm really going to miss him and I have a lot to help him with to clean out his office, etc. And then I have an all afternoon training class on Monday next week and then we leave at 5 a.m. on Wednesday for Phoenix to see MaryAz and family (Mary, Jeff, Avery and Cayley). I think I'm caught up on everyone else's reports and hope to stay that way...at least until we leave next Wednesday.

So we are on Day 6 or real date of Friday, May 8.

Mary and I will have coffee and breakfast in our villa and then hop a bus to be here around 9:00 or 9:30 a.m.

Our first FP+ for today will be here:

From there, we will probably walk here and Mary will be doing the Single Rider Line...nope I am NOT going with her.

Perhaps while I am waiting for her, I'll go find us adult beverages. Our next FP+ is for

We will probably grab a snack to eat as we have an ADR later before we head here:

We might try to do It's Tough to be a Bug. I don't know how Mary feels about character meets and greets but I'd like to stop and see a couple if we have the time.

We will have to leave by 2:30 I am guessing to get here

We have a 4:00 p.m. ADR at Teppan Edo. I've not eaten here since we went for Mark's 60th birthday with Andy, Des, Nicki and Todd and we really enjoyed it. I know it is one of Mary's favorites and I am treating her to dinner for her generosity in the villas she rented to me for May and then to Mark and I for October. We will see if there are any FP+ available, and if not we will probably just hang around World Showcase and try some of the desserts at the booths and several of the cocktails.

Up next, our last day and our last park

Hi Kathy! Popping in to catch up. Sorry - I'm really bad with PTRs. As you may have noticed, I can barely manage to update my own. But I am here, and I am definitely looking forward to your trips and the TRs that will follow.

All your plans sound so great - gets me excited to be going back to WDW for a change!

Cracked me up to see the pic of the BWI quiet pool - that is the pool Willow was sure had a shark in it one night and got out 5 minutes after we arrived at the pool. :rotfl2:

We loved Teppan Edo when we went there in January! Another great day of plans!

I can't wait to hear your review on Teppan Edo!!!!
Actually your AK sounds perfect. Get all the good stuff done and run over to EPCOT! here's hoping for no rain!

Sounds like a nice morning at AK. What, no EE (says the girl who came off of it in December feeling like she was going to puke)? Just kidding, I know you don't like that one. :flower3:

Teppan Edo is one I don't think I will ever make it too. I'm just too picky. I've tried the hibachi style restaurants before and just did not like the food at all. It's too bad because I hear a lot of good stuff about the restaurant and it looks like fun. Oh well, I'll just enjoy reading about it in your TR!

I'm sorry you're not a fan of EE. DH and I love it. We've showed Madelyn You Tube videos of it. At first, she said no. It was too scary. Now she wants to ride it and is ADAMENT about it. She's 45 inches now and that means she can ride just about anything. We shall see.

We went to Teppan Edo for my husband's 40th birthday. We absolutely loved it!! Sadly, that was three years ago and haven't been back. I will be waiting to hear about your review!

I can't believe your Arizona trip is right around the corner!! You and Mark deserve this!!

Have a safe trip to AZ!

No morning at AK is complete without seeing FotLK and riding KS.

I feel like Teppan Edo is best to go to when you have a big group. The more people, the more fun it tends to be. And it's really nice of you to pay for the meal. I'm sure it'll be much appreciated.

Those outdoor kitchen booths are an attraction in and of themselves. If you can't get any FPs, you won't be disappointed having to wander the WS and try them out.

Put me on the list of Teppan Edo lovers... we had a great experience there. The food was great and the kids had a great time. I looked on all ears and I'm not sure if the menu has changed but they had a cooked steak sushi roll that was awesome.

I can't believe you don't like EE.... it is so much smoother than SM.

Hoping you have a wonderful, safe trip to Phoenix!

Starting out the AK day with a little Dinosaur -- lovely choice!

Hehehe no, I knew you wouldn't be doing EE. Know how I know?? Because I love that ride! :rotfl: Just kidding, I remember from previous stories, but I do love that ride. (Of course!)

I can't say anything about Teppan Edo, but have heard so many good things. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

he one I've worked with for for the last six years is a real sweetheart and I've grown very fond of him and we have a great working relationship. I found out two weeks ago that he is leaving the firm.
I thought for sure that the lawyer who was leaving would be the senior one. That is hard to lose a good employee like that. They will really feel sorry when you retire. ::yes::

We have a 4:00 p.m. ADR at Teppan Edo.
We've never eaten here but it sounds like a fun place to eat. I think next time we go with a large family group we'll be sure to give it a try. :)

AK morning, Epcot evening? Sounds good to me!

I'm not a huge Epcot fan, but all this F&W business is starting to make that park sound pretty good! I mean who doesn't love a Disney hibachi dinner followed by international desserts and cocktails?

I'm sorry you are having to say good bye to your seemingly second favorite boss guy. Enjoy this last week working with him. And have a safe trip out to Arizona!

Oh I feel for you Kathy losing a great co-worker and boss. We spend so much of our time at work that you can't help but create a bond.

Haha, yup, that sounds like a normal AK day, and really does show how much this park needs more stuff. Of course, your choices are great.

I wish you a safe and wonderful journey to Phoenix which I'm sure will be much more lovely than the blizzard we're currently having.

Sorry to hear that your boss is leaving, but hopefully you will be able to stay in touch with him even after he's gone!

On to happier things...
Sounds like a great day at Animal Kingdom.
Although really, I don't know why you would want to skip Expedition Everest ... actually, after remembering my last ride on it, now I do! I know you don't like EE, and I totally understand that sentiment!

Spending time in World Showcase sounds great, too. There's always so much to see there (and even more during flower and garden!)

Me no likey the "new and improved" Dis! Tim, I am not receiving half the email notifications that I am supposed to either. I can't seem to stay caught up and it's acting all wonky most of the time. I can now say that I am all caught up but had to skip a lot of the chatter. Sorry to hear about one of your bosses leaving. It sounds like he will be missed.

Thanks to your previous reports, we've decided to give breakfast at Kona a try. I'm anxious to see if it lives up to the hype. If it is half as good as you and others say, we'll have a great meal there. Your Animal Kingdom day plans sound great! I can't wait to see Festival of the Lion King in it's new theater.

Hi Kathy! Popping in to catch up. Sorry - I'm really bad with PTRs. As you may have noticed, I can barely manage to update my own. But I am here, and I am definitely looking forward to your trips and the TRs that will follow.

Roni, please do not worry about it (I did see your last update by the way; when in July are you there? Any chance our dates overlap?).

All your plans sound so great - gets me excited to be going back to WDW for a change!

Thanks! When was your last time there?

Cracked me up to see the pic of the BWI quiet pool - that is the pool Willow was sure had a shark in it one night and got out 5 minutes after we arrived at the pool. :rotfl2:

Tell Willow that I will be sure to look for sharks BEFORE I go in.

We loved Teppan Edo when we went there in January! Another great day of plans!

Thanks; we really enjoyed it in 2013 (except for the screaming kid).

I can't wait to hear your review on Teppan Edo!!!!

Mo, I'll let you know if it is as good as the first time.

Actually your AK sounds perfect. Get all the good stuff done and run over to EPCOT! here's hoping for no rain!

I hope for no rain too!

Sounds like a nice morning at AK. What, no EE (says the girl who came off of it in December feeling like she was going to puke)? Just kidding, I know you don't like that one. :flower3:

Ariana, you'd probably have to give me something to get me back on it.

Really? I know you are picky. But you don't eat steak or chicken? Both are on the menu.

Enjoy your trip to AZ!

Thanks; so excited to see the girls and how they've grown since last June.

Sounds like a fun day at AK and Epcot.

I think it will be a good day...a little bit of both parks. :)

I'm sorry you're not a fan of EE. DH and I love it. We've showed Madelyn You Tube videos of it. At first, she said no. It was too scary. Now she wants to ride it and is ADAMENT about it. She's 45 inches now and that means she can ride just about anything. We shall see.

I used to love it. Then I got old. :rotfl2: I bet Madelyn will love it if she goes.

We went to Teppan Edo for my husband's 40th birthday. We absolutely loved it!! Sadly, that was three years ago and haven't been back. I will be waiting to hear about your review!

I hope you get back some time. I promise reviews of all meals within the TR.

I can't believe your Arizona trip is right around the corner!! You and Mark deserve this!!

Neither can I. I'm so excited to see Mary and the family.

Have a safe trip to AZ!

Thanks, Alicia.

No morning at AK is complete without seeing FotLK and riding KS.

You are absolutely right.

I feel like Teppan Edo is best to go to when you have a big group. The more people, the more fun it tends to be. And it's really nice of you to pay for the meal. I'm sure it'll be much appreciated.

We usually go to the one in Naples when we stay on Marco. But we didn't go last year (long story), and I know Mary likes this place so I'm game.

Those outdoor kitchen booths are an attraction in and of themselves. If you can't get any FPs, you won't be disappointed having to wander the WS and try them out.

I'm sure we won't.

Put me on the list of Teppan Edo lovers... we had a great experience there. The food was great and the kids had a great time. I looked on all ears and I'm not sure if the menu has changed but they had a cooked steak sushi roll that was awesome.

Gee...nothing like ruining it for me. Sushi?:sick::sick:

I can't believe you don't like EE.... it is so much smoother than SM.

I don't like SM either. But a certain 9-year old won a bet and I had to go with her. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hoping you have a wonderful, safe trip to Phoenix!

Thanks, Wendy.

Starting out the AK day with a little Dinosaur -- lovely choice!

Why thank you ma'am.

Hehehe no, I knew you wouldn't be doing EE. Know how I know?? Because I love that ride! :rotfl: Just kidding, I remember from previous stories, but I do love that ride. (Of course!)

:rotfl2::rotfl2:Good point. Actually, as stated above, I used to love it...then I got old.

I can't say anything about Teppan Edo, but have heard so many good things. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

I'm sure we will. I love hibachi and steak and shrimp.

I thought for sure that the lawyer who was leaving would be the senior one. That is hard to lose a good employee like that. They will really feel sorry when you retire. ::yes::

Trust me, if it were the senior one, I'd be out the door the same day as him.

We've never eaten here but it sounds like a fun place to eat. I think next time we go with a large family group we'll be sure to give it a try. :)

I hope you do...it's really fun watching the chef cook and all.
