I was just reading on another thread here that these boards are getting "boring" and in a lull. My trip is getting close and I find them immensely entertaining the closer we get to the trip, though i visit here all the time time anyway.

One thing I would like to say that to my DH and myself that no trip to Orlando is complete without visiting Universal and IOA. We once went for a fast weekend trip to just WDW, and boy did we miss going over to Universal, it was just not the same.

I bet many of you feel the same...WDW is nice and cute and very special, but Universal and IOA's attractions are WOW!!!!

Keep up the good work Universal and keep on posting everyone please..:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I'm with you Disney Talker!

I enjoy the Disney Parks, but I LOVE Universal. HHN was fantastic.

Just got back from 2 weeks in Florida and counting down until I can return.

My family even visited WDW in the first part of '98. My oldest son went once on a school trip to EPCOT since then. Unfortunately, no deals to justify going back to WDW since then.

One BIG Agree!!! We do not go to Orlando without a visit to US/IOA.

Barry - that was good one! I got a big chuckle!

I knew there were many of us out there. Never can figure why people say, I cannot drag myself away from Disney for a day to go to Universal..or....It is just not Disney!!! Oh well, leaves more room in the Universal Parks for folks like ourselves.

As I said before, Universal is just WOW, not just an amusement park like many think. Calling the Universal Parks amusement parks is like saying visiting WDW is the same thing as going to your local Disney Store.

We would go to Orlando for the Universal Parks alone, as I know many here would....:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I've been to Disney twice and loved it immensely, and it gave me and my family a warm cozy feeling. I've been to Universal once, going again this summer, and also loved it, and it gave me a excited, "cool" feeling. Disney is a feeling of being in love, and Universal is a feeling of a hot summer fling that you don't want to end!

Yep same thing here. Going to Universal and Disney in a week and then I'm going back again to just Universal in March  . If Universal keeps building the quailty attractions and offering great guest service they just might become the place to visit in Orlando. Then people will be saying stuff like "you must go to Universal and if you have a free day or two drop by Disney".

Ahhhhhhhhhh. It is so refreshing over here on the USF board.

Try talking like this on the DVC board and they crusify you!!! (well some do anyway). It sure gets old!

We originally started going to USF as a way to get back at WDW for their high AP prices. Come to find out that it IS an awesome place to visit (and stay on site!)

I couldn't agree more! To us (me, DH, DD-14, DS-5) Universal Orlando is every bit as important as Disney. We will never miss it when travelling to Florida. We live in Utah so it's a long way and a big expense for us and we want to make the most of our fun. The first time at IOA, hubby had to drag DD and I out after closing. IOA is our fave park out of them all!
