NO TIME TO SHOWER, Get up, get dressed... were going to DISNEY! (update: 5/17)

Wow, what an amazing opportunity! I certainly can't relate up here in Alaska. This kind of spontaneity is not even an option up here! Kudos to you for jumping in and going for it! That's awesome! :thumbsup2

Sounds like your trip was off to a great start! Your little guy is adorable!

Hollywood and Vine was one of our favorite meals. The food and character interaction were great. Of course, we didn't have the violent JoJo :rotfl: .

I dont think you will be disappointed, especially if your dd's like Playhouse Disney.. We really did love it. I read alot of negative reviews about this place but had to go anyway for my son & I am so glad that we did.

Great first part - I still am amazed that you did this with no planning!
:cutie: Thanks!! :) There are tons of things that I forgot & wish that I could have gone back to the day of leaving just to remember them... Stroller card, disney money, umbrella for stroller, my lime green mickeys!! :rotfl: But I would still do it all over again!

UPDATE: 5/16- DAY 1(continued) -Off to EPCOT

On the way out of DHS we noticed that the HSM parade :cheer2: was about to start.. Not one person along the street stopped and watched it  . I know they stop in the main section under the hat but there wasnt many people there watching it either... (J asked me how I knew the words:rolleyes1 )... it really wasnt that exciting for us so we ended up leaving & getting on the boat to Epcot.

Arriving at Epcots International Gates is so quiet & nice. I dont know if its just me but Epcot is a very calming park.

Our first stop:

JT just starting getting into full lenth videos & he seemed to really take to Nemo so I hoped he was going to like this. This ride said 20 min wait but we walked right on.

This is the ride where you jump in a clam and you end up getting off at the Aquarium like section. The only picture that I took on the ride was this:

Epcot2006003.jpg

I would recommend this ride to anyone that has preschoolers. Its cute to see but I wouldnt wait long to see it. I hear the Nemo ride in DL is so much better. Maybe we can get a submarine ride in fl!

After this we hung out in the Fishy section as J & JT love fish.

After the Nemo ride we tried to see Crush but there were some kind of problem & it would be up later on in the day.

We left Nemo & headed over to the WS cause J wanted beer! Along the way we stopped and saw this

JakesFirstDisneyTrip049.jpg

I personally think that these are amazing and loved each and everyone that I saw. There are alot of hidden mickeys along the way too but J disaggred with me and said they werent hidden and they were out in the open. WHAT DOES HE KNOW!!! :lmao:

We let JT play for a little while (there was a cute playground area here) but it was way too hot to stay long. There was also a picture opp for Peter pan. He hung out in a tent but JT didnt care.

J ended up here:

JT & I ended up in the tea shoppe for some a/c but quickly left. I didnt want him toching the china.. BAD CHOICE of stores!! They did have some really cute things in there though. As great as Epcot is, it was way too hot for JT & me so we decided to leave for the afternoon and head back to the hotel for some down time.

We get back to the hotel and eat lunch there (nothing to rave about). We also enjoyed some down time in the pool, which was great.

JT's first pool experience- The baby pool they had was very cute.
JakesFirstDisneyTrip055.jpg

but mom and dad needed some pool time too... so we took him into the big pool w/ us and he L O V E D it.

(side note: if you have a baby/tot buy those huggies swimmer diapers- THEY ARE AMAZING)

We head back to the room for a nap- well dad did...

After some rest time we then headed to:

Your TR is awesome! I still can't believe you pulled this off!

Haha, who doesn't know the words these days? Even my husband knows the words!! My one-year-old loves High School Musical 2, especially the extra scene - "Huma-Huma-Nooka-Nooka-Appawa-Ah". (I have younger sisters who introduced both my little ones to HSM :headache: )

UPDATE: 5/17- Downtown Disney

After a much needed rest we headed for Downtown Disney. I cant begin to tell you how crowded this place was.. Lots 1-4 all had signs posted at the traffic lights saying "LOT FULL". Well I pushed my luck and tried to get into lot 1- NO LUCK- someone in lot 2 was leaving so I got a good spot! :goodvibes (another reason why I love disney transportation!)

Our first stop was this little store:
JakesFirstDisneyTrip076.jpg

slightly PACKED:upsidedow

Next stop was this store:
DSC00584.jpg

this store on the other hand was REALLY PACKED!! We couldnt really move w/ the stroller & there were crowds of people everywhere. So J & I decided we should get something to eat first and maybe the stores would lighten up...
We headed on over to Wolfgang Puck Express... First time trying this place & we would go there over and over and over again! J had the roastbeef & Chedder sandwich & I had BBQ Chicken Sandwich, both came w/ potato chips but not the bagged type.. .The food was soooooooooo good. I wish I would have taken a picture of it but I was busy chasing after a baby and by the time I got back to take some pics J's food was gone and 1/2 of mine was gone due to someone else eating it!
eat.gif
. If you have a chance try this place. I really dont think you will be disappointed.

Our next stop was Mickey's Pantry---I can hear the angels singing!!-- This is my favorite store. Again, not another store for babies...:headache: So while J walked w/ JT I decided to do a little shopping. I didnt buy anything while there but I did take plenty of notes and ordered stuff when I came back. I already have my birthday & christmas lists all set!!! :rolleyes1

We made pit stops into the christmas store & Goofy's candy. The line for the candy shoppe was out the door so instead of eating there we ate here:
JakesFirstDisneyTrip078.jpg

This is my favorite icecream shoppe
smiley_icecream.gif
!! Going w/ the theme of the night, PACKED. The last time I was there the system for ordering icrecream was different. This time there are three registers that can take your order. After placing the order you can either tell them to go or to stay and then you get a number to stay (good luck finding a table) or you wait w/ a CROWD of people waiting for your number to be called. This was crazy insane. People were everywhere. No-one was hearing there number... it was like the person calling the number was whispering-. I noticed that people that ordered to stay were getting thier icecream alot faster & BOY DID IT LOOK GOOD!
We on the other hand waited &................waited.........
Smiley_Im-waiting.gif

Finally we got the best tasting icecream brownie sundae w/ dark chocolate fudge.........mmmmmmmmmmmmm so good. Another chance to take a picture but again it was gone before you knew it!! :rolleyes1 That was pretty much my doings!!! :rolleyes1
After this we decided it was time to leave, the stores werent dying down at all & we were getting eaten alive by mosquitos.
Another bit of advise, bring your bug spray... this place had them everywhere. Someone on line at Ghiridellis even pointed them out in the store. The walls were packed w/ them!

This was the end of a very nice long day!

coming up next: Day 2- MK! :)

UPDATE: 5/17- MAGIC KINGDOM!

Today was Mothers day & I couldnt think of a better place to be then the MK. Our plans for today was to enjoy a FULL day here & we did just that. We arrived at 9:30-& parked far far away...

Well kids... another fun filled episode was about to take place... The tram car comes and we all jump on.. I had to hold JT while J fit the stroller in between us. JT starts to get really really fussy and doesnt want to sit still... The tram car takes off... JT's climbing on me... his sneaker goes FLYING off his foot while tram is moving... OMG~ these sneakers were just bought for him & walking sneakers are not cheap.. well we cant stop the tram, what happens next... another tram is coming in the other direction and takes the shoe w/ him...I cant believe it.... I am shocked. What do we do?!??! Do I make J run back and see if he can find it? Do I tell the cm's what happend?? Do I just forget about it?!?!?

Well we did all three... J ran back and he couldnt find the sneaker... we told the cm's and they said to come back to them later on the day and they will see if they can find it for us....Well at this point we figured we needed to find another shoe for him to wear...

As we enter the gates the cm's were giving out flowers to all the moms & wishing them a magical mothers day!!! AWWWWW... I LOVE THIS PLACE!! :flower3: :cheer2:

We have breakfast reservations at 10:30 at
JakesFirstDisneyTrip081.jpg

so we had a little time to kill to look for shoes of some sort... We run into the Emporium the only shoes that we find are the Mickey Mouse Crocs... Great... get them... NOPE... not his size... we get a cm... she searches the entire store & backstock & comes out w/ NOTHING! She tells us they might be found on some carts but she cant get in touch w/ them... They had flip flops for kids but I didnt need him falling all over the place... so we said lets jump on the train and head on over to Mickeys Tent and see if they are over there... J said we dont have time we will miss our reservations so we went to Guest Services instead... J went inside while JT & I waited... he comes out and NOTHING... they tell J they dont sell baby shoes and never did:scared1:...(this is why you should never let ur Dh do shop talking... first they arent baby shoes & ask for specifics...:upsidedow ) okay... well we have to make our reso's so guess what... JT will be in his socks to meet Pooh & the gang...
JakesFirstDisneyTrip082.jpg

We get there and wait about 5 min for our name to be called.

Here are some pics of JT meeting Pooh & friends...
JakesFirstDisneyTrip084.jpg

JakesFirstDisneyTrip091.jpg

Eeyore & Piglet were also there and they were so great... Piglet gave some free kisses out & Eeyore played Peek A boo for a while! This place had awesome character interaction & GREAT FOOD! Here was one of my favorite dishes.
JakesFirstDisneyTrip093.jpg

I went up twice for these and both times they were very good... j had pastrami lox and loved it... (dont eat it, wont try it, so I dont know)
This was a great place... Another place to add to your list if you can... A++++:cheer2:

After breakfast we headed on over to the Baby Care Center... (which is right next to the Crystal Palace)
If you have little ones, this is a must stop... Its clean, friendly cm's, private nursing areas, full kitchen w/ baby "supplies", a tv room, unisex bathroom & a huge changing area... A MUST USE for parents. We ended up going there more then once on this day trip!

I have to run out- MK day to be continued...........
