No ticker and no planning make me GO CRAZY.. Feb. 2013 PTR

That stinks about the movie situation. But, the character breakfast definitely looks like a lot of fun! Reid would probably enjoy the Madagascar characters - he loves those movies.

The boardwalk area on the ship sounds very neat! And I would love to have a Johnny Rockets on a ship - I miss living near one of those. YUM!

I may be jumping too far ahead here but.....what did you think of the stateroom compared to the Dream?

I'm so excited to hear about this trip! It's interesting to see character breakfasts with characters other than Disney. It's cool that Fiona was rockin out.

I love the pictures of the dolphins hugging you. So sweet! Their eyes are so intelligent too. It must have been an amazing experience.

Looks like a really cool breakfast with shrek and the gang! I've seen some really bad shrek costumes, but those are really good! Sounds like a fun time!

My oh my those ships are HUGE!

The dolphin encounter looks like so much fun (I'm determined DH and I are going to Discovery Cove next year to do that for our 30th).

The breakfast with the characters looks great...love Shrek.

The swim was great. When will the trip for Chris be? Graduation? Have you made any decisions about what ship or itinerary you will be going on. I have seen great reviews on the Carnival Magic, is that one of your options? I wish we had it closer to us. I am considering the Breeze for 2014 but I havent great things about the port or airport in Miami, which is where the Breeze is.

Chris graduates in May 2014 so I have been looking in March and May. I keep switching from Carnival to RCL to maybe Disney. Keith (are you sitting down) actually suggested Disney may be the best route to look into!) I think he really appreciates how Disney puts so much effort into doing things right at WDW. We have been on RCL so I know what we get there. And Carnival has the best rates....I am just so torn!!! We can drive to New Orleans easily but that rules out Disney. I could go on and on in my indecision!! And my family doesn't offer suggestions, they just say "plan it"! :rotfl:

Keith loves Shrek! I think that is one character meal even he would get excited about!!! And what a cute tiger Caitlin makes!!

I wish we could do a cruise in Feb. but there's no way I'd be able to afford that AND Disney! :scared1: I do want to try to go on one of the 3 night Disney cruises next year sometime, maybe near Christmas or something.

Being on the ship all day looks like fun, it seems like there is a lot to do! The character meal looks cute, even though I haven't seen Shrek or Puss in Boots! :confused3

Caitlin's dress is cute. Tell her I got a pair of leopard ears like hers for Halloween, I got them to wear to work! :thumbsup2

I hope you get to do at least a 3 night cruise. I think you will love it:thumbsup2

How is it possible to not see Shrek?

I thought the actual stateroom was pretty nice. The only huge difference from the Dream is the bathrooms. RCL has the normal tiny bathroon with the tube shower. However if you book early enough you could get a junior suite and have a bathtub if needed and the price isn't too much more. We booked 8 weeks out so the price for our inside balcony was already too much.

I love how the dolphins seem to have their eyes closed during the hugs:goodvibes

The character breakfast was very fun, I am glad I dragged everyone out of bed to attend.

I have never seen another Shrek costume before but I can imagine they aren't great looking. It was a fun time:thumbsup2

The ships are HUGE! DH kept saying "hmm, I guess it is big" Really, you think?

I really hope you end up going to Discovery Cove, I know you have been saying you wanted to do it for your anniversary for awhile now.

Sorry, double post. Dang computer!

If my DH if considered DCL I would have that booked asap before he could change his mind.

As much as I love planning our vacations sometimes it's really stressful trying to narrow down so many options with no input from no one else. :sad2:

Hey everyone!

I had hoped to get through an update today but spent the morning running around get presents for Caitlin's birthday this Sunday. My baby is turning 8!

Anyway it will be a busy weekend so I won't be able to update until next week but will hopefully get through the cruise in a day or two once I can update. I should be getting my vacation request answer at work next week so it will be time to either plan the trip or figure out how to get BIL's name on my plane ticket.

Just want to post one of my favorite pictures from our trip. I wish I was back on the beach now. It was in the 40's this morning and the first time our heat has gone on this fall.

Happy 8th Birthday, Caitlin.

What a priceless picture...that's a great one.

I hope your vacation gets approved...keeping fingers crossed.

And, just so you know, we've had our heat on since the day after we got home. We've hit 28 a couple of nights already!

Happy Belate Birthday!!!!

I hope it was a special one for her. Claire will be turning 8 in 2 months. Where did our babies go?

I love that you saw Brave and MIB3. We saw Brave on the Magic and also watched MIB3 one night on one of the movie channels too.

I just noticed your PTR link in your signature. I am subbing and will start catching up.

I am NOT a runner either, but over the last few days I have been thinking about trying to do one of the Disney marathons at some point in the next couple years.

Hey how are you doing? How was the February trip?!

Hope you're doing well!

Hello:wave2:

I totally missed your comments. I haven't been spending much time on the TR boards since I don't have a real Disney trip planned any time soon and they make me too sad.

I have been lurking along on your TR but I tend to read the boards while working the overnights on my phone and I hate posting on my phone. Gavin is so adorable and it seems like your trip went very well, especially considering all the issues you had right before you left. DH has always said if we have another baby, Disney would be off the table until they were like 5, but your experience makes me want to go to Disney with a baby.:goodvibes

Our Feb. trip was awesome. I was so much fun traveling with someone who loves Disney as much as I do (although I think my Dsis might actually love it more than I do) As much as I missed having DH there, it was so nice not having any negative Disney energy there.
I am on vacation this week so I will try to read your thread on the computer and actually make a post. :surfweb:

I understand! I take spurts with getting on the Dis. It's harder when you don't have a trip in the works so I definitely get it! Although now that I have the DIS boards app on my phone and a baby that never sleeps, I do at least read a lot haha. I'm too lazy to comment from my phone most of the time.

I'd take 9 month old Gavin (or younger) any day to Disney. He traveled so well and slept better there lol. Right now, I would not take toddler Gavin to Disney as I'm sure it would be a disaster haha.

I'm glad your February trip went so well! Maybe you'll be able to go with your Dsis again without DH? ;) I guess I'm very blessed to have a DH that loves Disney as much as I do!
