No theme night on Western European sailing?

I'm sailing on the Magic (Western Europe) next week and this will be my first ever cruise. There's no pirate night or any other themed night planned and I was wondering if this is normal. Is this just something about this itinerary? It seems like people post about pirate night and Frozen night quite a bit and I was surprised to learn that our 7 night cruise doesn't have anything like that. Thanks for your input!

So the Europe cruises tend to either do Pirate or Frozen but I think there have been issues with getting the fireworks onboard in Europe this time. A friend is sailing currently and said they were meant to have pirate night but didn't have the fireworks just the show. I think you should be having pirate night but currently until September they aren't doing the pirate make overs so you would have no way of knowing til you get onboard.

In before times Pirates Night / fireworks was only on the Med cruises. The repositioning from The Med to North Europe and all the North Europe / West Europe / Baltic etc cruises had a Frozen night with a Frozen deck party.

Its just like how the Alaska cruises don't have Pirates Night / fireworks. Its to do with country restrictions and environmental reasons such as noise etc.

I never really got why the pirate night needs fireworks. Most of the activities can still be done even if you do not have a fireworks finale.

I guess maybe due to Frozen?? Denmark / Norway inspired Arendelle :confused3

We had Pirate Night last week in the Mediterranean but without the fireworks.

I did Greek isles in June and we had pirate night with all the details such as the menu, the meets, the deck party and the buffet except fireworks. I'm doing Iceland in august and when I talked to the character manager she said they were still hoping to get all the Frozen things onboard for the Northern European sailings but nothing was confirmed...

We are on one of the Copenhagen sailings. This is our first ever non-Bahamian/Caribbean sailing. We've always enjoyed the fireworks and love that the kids enjoy the show. Its always been cheesy and terrible to me so we usually just find somewhere to watch the fireworks away from the stage.

For Frozen, is there a special dinner menu also like Pirate night?

Yes.

This is the Freezing The Night Away Menu from summer 2019 European cruises on Disney Cruise Blog.

There was also a Frozen Deck Party, which you can find on YouTube, as well as ticketed meet and greet with Anna , Elsa and Olaf.

The days activities were Frozen themed and there was a scavenger hunt called Anna's Chocolate Chase.

There were various Frozen themed decorations around the ship.

Thanks @BadPinkTink!

We're big frozen fans (No kids, so we didn't get sick of the movies like everyone else 🤣 ) so I'll look forward to something similar.

Unrelated: Has anyone seen the current price for a Length of Cruise (7 night) Rainforest pass on the Magic?

Not sure the current status on the Wonder, but we didn't get the chocolate scavenger hunt or the Anna/Elsa meet and greet in June, so all Frozen events may or may not be back on the Magic as well.

I don't think you would have had Freezing the Night Away in June either though? With the Magic cruises, the Med ones (so through to August I think) they do the Pirate night stuff instead. Then on the Northern Europe ones they'd do the Freezing the Night Away or at least this is how it has worked previously

exactly, previously. Two weeks ago they still didn't know if it is gonna work out for this years Northern season...
