We have been staying at Disney for quite a few years and I have had a profile set up the website too - but for some unknown bizarre reason, Disney has my profile all wrong.
I made reservations for March 7-16th back late December. At that first call, the address on file was that of our friends who I had booked rooms for last March under my name. So it gets corrected - supposedly. I also booked us for magical express and give them flight details etc. Our friends do the same.
I get that wonderful email code for 40% off and call several times to see if I could get it applied to my reservation. I probably called about 4 different times, again, 3 out of 4 times the same address of our friends turns up - it's corrected each time and I'm thinking this is really weird that it wasn't fixed the first time. Anyhow no luck with the code.
So, it's 2 weeks today and no magical express tags.
I call Magical express and she can't find me under my name and she has to pull me up using a confirmation # and then transfer my reservation into the ME system. She tells me that I can still use the ME system as probably too late to get tags now - I tell her, I booked this in December, no reason for delay , she reports that they have had problems with Canadian addresses that have no provinces entered and the tags are then considered undeliverable and not sent. So she looks at my address and again, it's my friends!
She corrects it and enters province and country etc and makes a notation that I have called and this is the current address. So, I tell her that is unusual as we have used ME 3 times previously and received our tags in the mail - first time I called as it was cutting close and they Express shipped the tags to me and I ended up getting the original ones too. This doesn't make sense, but anyhow, she has corrected it. so, I check my friends profile too for tags and the same thing - but they have the correct address but no Ontario or Canada entered. So, something is goofy with Disney's CRO as I have never moved and I've been booking trips for years.
Anyhow, Etta promised me the tags will be Express mailed
and I should have them in time. Dropping off those bags at the airport and then finding them in the room is the best feature!!!
My advice for a fellow Canadian is to call Magical Express 1-866-599-0951 and make sure they have you in the system correctly as she reported that this error has happened quite a bit due to the failure of entering the correct address, specifically the province and country. Dummies...
