No start date set yet for DLR pool remodel according to CM

I called Disney reservations today because I was getting concerned about the pool renovations to the DLH. We're heading down in 3 weeks and I was hoping that we wouldn't run into pool construction issues.

The reservations CM called the hotel directly and they said that there isn't a start date yet scheduled for the pool renovation. Of course, other renovations are ongoing but the pool appears to be safe for now. Take it for what it's worth!

They told me yesterday that the 2 small pools would be closed but that they weren't sure when the big pool would be closed. Also the waterfall is going to be gome. We are gonna be there on Aug 17th.
I switched to GCH this morning.
I am disapointed about not staying at DLH though.

Interesting! Did they say as of what date the small pools will be closed? Oh well, worst case is that we'll get to pool hop to the PP or GCH. I tried to get rates on GCH to possibly switch but they're sold out for our dates.

They just said during our stay which was to start the 17th. I guess I am OK with it. I just didn't want to get there and then have problems. I did not want to pool hop with 3 kids. That does not say vacation! lol

We'll be there 8/3-8/7. Pool hopping wouldn't be ideal but our DS is 17 so it leaves us way more flexibility

yes at 17 it would be OK. Though even for me I'd rather stay where I went to the pool. That is part of the joy of DLR to me no travel. At WDW where we usually vacation it seems we spend half the time traveling around.

I asked Vacation Planning about this yesterday. . .she called the DLH front desk, spoke to a manager, and was told that the managers had not been notified of any pool closure dates yet.

That was the same information I got yesterday as well so I'm hoping that they don't decide to start in the next 3 weeks!
