I am looking to stay at one of the Universal properties and when I called I was told the only thing they had left at any resort was club level! I am looking to go Sept 30-Oct 2. If there something going on at Universal that I should know about? Can someone please help! I can't believe that in 2 days (I called on Sat. and got oodels of avail. rooms) they are all booked! :badpc: I am so mad!

I found plenty of availability using the online system. Either call back and speak to someone else or have a look online here

They were showing AAA rates for standards as well. Good Luck.

they pulled the same crap on me. of course i did go during the busy season so I'm not sure if it was legit or not, but I gave in and paid the extra money and for very little in return i might add! pirate:

Thank you JessicaR!! :love2: I looked again and I found what I wanted! $179 for a king room at RPR. Is that decent? It is w/ AAA. They also had a club room for $255 at RPR. which is a better deal, IYO?

You asked if anything is going on that weekend. The answer is a big yes.
HHN15 will be starting up that Friday and Saturday.
I could see the hotel being sold out those dates. If you got a room to come up, I'd book it now, and then check back every so often to make sure your ressie is still active. Sometimes, reservations mysteriously disappear at the HRH.

Haloween Horror Nights 15.

The parks will have light crowds in the day time, there is nothing to worry about during the day But at night, it's packed. You can still go during the day, and you can barely tell any differance. At about 4pm, people head to the stay and scream area between the parks. You get to do two haunted houses in this area before the parks re-open an hour or so later with the haunted houses and scare zones.

HHN is a seperate event, you need a ticket to do it. My price was $32.75 last year using my AP (annual pass) to get a discount.

What about City Walk? Will it be busy before HHN? We are not interested in HHN but if we are going to be affected by the crowds we may just go on to WDW early and stay over there. I really don't want to as I am looking forward to a Universal stay but hubby does not like to deal with crowds and that would not be a good way to start off our vacation.

Before the event the crowds are not that bad but later into the night Citywalk does get VERY crowded. If you are staying onsite and would like somewhere to go for a few cocktails/atmosphere and relax I would suggest the Velvet Lounge in the HRH. Even on HHN nights it's not that bad, it's laid back and DH (who hates crowds as well) loves it.

You can still visit Citywalk for dinner. But I'd go at 4pm for the happy hour specials, and eat dinner at 5pm as the crowds arrive for HHN15. Then you can head back to the hotel to take a swim and hang out.

very good idea! I have convinced my DH that it will not impact our stay and I think we are going to just go for it. We found a rate of $304 for PBH club level and we think we may stay over there. That way it will be a little more quiet and relaxing.
