No Sign Of A Flash Sale

So I have been holding fire thinking that there was bound to be a flash sale for my dates in Feb but it's beginning to look less and less likely :(

Although ideally I would like to stay at HNY this time round, the prices for a two night stay seem high to me as there are no discounts at all (all the current offers are for 4 nights and I only want 2 nights)

If I book at a cheaper resort and then a flash sale does come along can I just call and upgrade to HNY and is this an easy process?

I think it' s a hit or miss trying to up grade during a sale. It seems to be who you get on the phone.

If there is a flash sale, it's likely to be after the current offer ends, 31st Jan. but you might be lucky with dates as they''re often within a few weeks of the sale.

Good luck :wizard:

Thanks for your help
I'm travelling on Feb 6th so if a sale doesn't begin until after the current offer ends on the 31st, it will probably be too late for me
I think I'm going to go for the lowest price hotel on-site I can get as it's only for two nights and it's really just somewhere to crash
Thanks again :)

Have you seen this post? 30% off on the French site - is that any good for your dates?

Wow no I hadn't and it saves me a fortune

Is it ok to book through the French site?

When I enter my address on the booking page it won't let me change France to England

You just put in your addresse but leave France as your country.

Perfectly ok as everything is sent by email nothing by post. :thumbsup2

Many people on here have done it :goodvibes

Eek, no matter what credit card I use the site rejects it
Is this because the are UK registered cards?

Don't see why :confused3 Like I say during the last French and Belgium offers people booked from the UK so they must have paid with UK cards.

Try clearing all cache and cookies and doing it again. You aren't doing it through Google translate are you as that can sometimes cause a few pbs :)

Still no luck

I'm now on a different PC and have used three different types of card
Visa, Mastercard and Amex

None of them will go through

I get this message

"Nous n'avons pas eu l'autorisation de débiter votre carte de crédit ; le processus de réservation ne peut donc pas aboutir"

I translated it and have tried and tried again to enter payment but I still get the same message

Urgh - I really want to book!

That's coming from your bank - A lot of UK banks need to be informed of transactions abroad. They see it as someone attempting fraud

Barclays does it to me everytime I try and buy flights from here

You phone them and tell them that you are trying to purchase this and that it is you etc and not fraudulous activity and they will remove the block so you can go ahead and buy.

Success :cool1:

Thanks for the help, I called the bank and they sorted it all out for me :thumbsup2

I have just printed out my confirmation which I don't really understand a word of but I'm sure it will be fine :rotfl:

:cool1: :dance3: :woohoo:

Bita of a pita that you have to do that but the important thing is you got it sorted :thumbsup2

So where are you going - HNY for a bargain price ?

Yep - Hotel New York with a £167 saving :cool1:

Do I just show my printed confirmation together with the credit card and my photo ID at the hotel check-in?

They haven't actually emailed anything back to me :confused3

its exactly the same as if you had booked through the UK site - you will get a confirmation email, with a confirmation booking number, and really the booking number and your passport number is all you ever need to check in onsite at DLP.

Confirmation emails can take up to 48 hours to arrive with you, so you've got plenty of time to get it yet :) (check your spam folder too, just in case its dropped in there).

I printed off the confirmation page so even if I don't get the email I have that so hopefully everything should be OK

Hope they don't start quizzing me about living in France :rotfl:
