NO ROFR For Me!!!!

Just learned that I will be closing on a VGC resale contract for 160 points with 160 banked points from 2011. August Use Year. I am so looking forward to booking our first ressie for this summer. Hopefully- Aulani late August. Wish me luck! I have learned so much from all of you already but I am certain I will be asking for more information soon.

who did you use to buy your resale? trying to decide between purchasing through disney or a resale. how was your experience? any help is appreciated!

We used the Timestore. So far good experience. Painless process. We are paying $98 per point. My only regret is not negotiating before agreeing to the terms. I didn't realize I had negotiating power. I called to make the inquiry and before you know it I had started to process to buy points at VGC. I might have paid too much but I am really looking forward a lifetime of enjoyment. Or so I have been trying to convince myself of this.

We live in California so all I really knew before starting this process was which home resort I wanted and the total price I was willing to pay for it. Once I saw the listing I was hoping for I called. You could say this was an impluse purchase. Unfortunately, we are being delayed another week b/c we are putting our DVC membership into our trust which requires that contract be amended by Disney's ROFR office again!! I was told that this additional step should only take one week to process. We will see... I will keep everyone posted.
