No Reservations Available?!

We’re going to LA this weekend and wanted to go to Disneyland on Saturday Oct. 16, but the site is saying “No Reservations Available” for nearly two weeks. I checked last week and every day had tickets so waited until we confirmed all our travel. Will they release more tickets or is there any other way we can go for day? Can you purchase tickets at the gate? For sympathy, it's my daughter's b-day. Doh!

Keep checking. Sometimes they release more reservations, but sometimes they don't. You will probably have to check pretty incessantly. It has been absolute nuts recently (we just returned last night from a 4 night trip from Dallas). I hope it works out for you!

Keep checking, but it was insanely crowded last Weds-Sunday and in those days we saw several people being turned away at the gate with crying children and parents trying to explain that even though they had tickets they couldn't go because they didn't know they had to have a park reservation. It was really sad.

Our friends were there Wednesday and while at the parks tried to extend their hopper tickets for an extra day to go Thursday and were told no-- there were no park reservations available.

I have seen that if you happen to be staying at the Grand Californian or the Disneyland Hotel that they might be able to get you a park reservation from their resort "bucket" even though the park reservations are showing full. People have reported that has happened.

You won't be able to buy tickets day of and get in. Just keep checking online several times per day. The night before, around 11pm lots of people will cancel and you can pick up one of those reservations. Please read the other threads here about how crazy it's been lately. You may decide to do something else. The lines have been insane and it can be difficult to get food when you are hungry.

It's been super busy of late, so constantly checking is needed if you're hoping to snag a reservation for Saturday. And if you do see one, grab it asap! I've been planning to buy a regular park hopper and upgrade to Magic Key and finally caught Saturday showing as available. I thought perhaps more reservations had opened up or been reallocated from different buckets. It was showing CA as the only starting park option so I almost didn't book. Luckily I did, because as soon as I checked out and went back to look while signed out, Saturday was unavailable again. So I may have just gotten lucky with a cancellation, but either way, it changed back fast!
