No problems when I offer in May or June, but I will be out of the US in June?

I will be visiting my home country in June. If I find a good deal before or during the travel, I wonder if I could offer. Is there a case that I need to be physically in the US in 8 weeks after my offer is accepted? Since my all accounts are in the US, I would need to be in the US for doing a wire transfer to escrow in a bank before closing a deal. I guess 8 weeks until closing would be sufficient, so I could do that after returning in July. What about paying deposit? How much is it and how to pay? I'm frequently overthinking. 🤔

I'm sure you could work around all that with the Title company regarding closing. You may not even be through ROFR until almost July. Usually the deposit is 10% and you pay by credit card.

Honestly, with ROFR taking 30 plus days on average, I think you would be fine. Brokers will routinely put in 60 days now for closing.

I did my last few with Docusign and wire transfer on the phone with my brokerage. I used Mason title.

Your home state might matter in this discussion. I would just call the title company you plan to use and your bank. You might be able to set up standing instructions before you leave for the wire.

I think you could do this! ROFR is truly taking longer than 30 days it seems (I would know, on day 36 now)....
