Hi everyone! I called Disney reservations today to book our trip for October 2016. I know it's super early, but it's within the 500 day window, and I love having a trip booked! Anyways, I called today, and they said that all the premium sites were booked already, so they put me down for a preferred site. Is it possible that all the premium sites are already booked? The dates we booked were for 10/17-10/27. I'm going to keep calling back to see if there's any availability, so hopefully something in a preferred site will open up. I also thought that maybe I called too early and the sites just aren't released yet. I'm really hoping that's the case!

Sounds unusual, but october is getting busier every year. I initially booked this upcoming October 9-18 back in March. At that time the only openings were for full hookups. Funny thing, premiums were open every day of that 9 day stay except for one day, a Wednesday...

I kept checking MDE and after about two months was able to change over to premium. If I were you, I would book whatever you can get for that time and just keep checking back. You got plenty of time to update it.

I called yesterday and was able to book a premium site for March 2016 for the 9 days the week before Easter, a very busy time. When we were there last time (June 2014) they had one or two entire loops taken out of service for maintenance. So maybe it is something like that? Good luck!

I checked this morning, and premium campsites are now showing up for October '16. I phoned and got my reservation changed, so all is good! :)

I can't help to wonder if some of these booking issues would go away if there was a "Non-Refundable" fee like many other resorts/campgrounds/venues have?

I am going to Tennessee in less than 3 weeks (Pigeon Forge, TN) and all the campgrounds we looked at had a 1 day non-refundable deposit required. Since my intent was on definitely staying it wasn't an issue, but again, how many people "Book" the Disney resorts (in particular the campground) so far out "Just in case" they are going to be able to stay, only to cancel just prior to having to have the full payment made?

Just wondering.. That's all. :)
