No Parks, four days, Two hotels, What to do?

DH and I are going by ourselves in Feb for 5 We plan on no parks, just hopefully getting away from the cold and relaxing.
Well let me send you some pixie dust for that warmer weather in Feb! pixiedust: because let me tell you, we went this Feb and it was 35 degrees with 30 mile wind gusts. I'm also hoping for a warmer winter season and I live in
FLorida!

Love:
FW petting zoo
Chip & Dale Sing Along, Movie, Marshmallow roast - FW
Pool-hopping - Favorite is Poly
Wishes from Poly Beach
Electrical from any beach
Swinging in Hammocks at Poly Beach
Just riding the monorail
Just riding the boats to and from anywhere
Water parks - floating around the lazy rivers
Community Halls - Sometimes my kids prefer these to the Parks
Playing basketball w/Eddie at OKW
Shuffleboard, tennis, basketball at many resorts
DTD nighttime "free" entertainment
Playing in the water fountains at DTD
Staying up late, sleeping in
Feeding the ducks at OKW
Looking for golf balls at OKW (not sure if this is kosher)

We buy annual passes every other year. On the off year we enjoy everything else WDW has to offer.

Given where you are staying, I would go to DTD a bit before the stores open...it's so peaceful and when the stores open, usually they are not crowded. This is the absolute best time to shop! When you are done shopping grab something to drink and rent a boat at DTD and troll the waterways and see OKW, SSR, THV, POR and FQ from a different angle.

Have breakfast on the boardwalk early in the morning, again, very peaceful and relaxing...love it.

Additional things we've done: mini-golf (disney and non-disney courses), malls/outlet malls, pool time and take walks around the resort and see the different in/outdoor sitting areas.

DH and I are doing a no parks 6-day in a 1 bedroom BWV sv mid-January. I hope to do everything we never have time for with the DGD prodding us on to the next ride/line/event :yay:

I reserved a 1 bedroom for the tub and the kitchen... so you won't care about one of the activities I have planned :rotfl: but for the others...

A day at the BW including Welcome Home Wednesday, and looking through all the many hotel souvenir shops and hunting down coin stampers.

On the monorail loop - hopping a boat to FW for breakfast, check out the petting zoo, find the pony ride for possible future trips with DGD, boating back, more shop browsing and coin squishing, leisurely looking over the hotels, tea at the GF, checking out the beach at the Poly, watching FW and electric water parade.

A day at DTD. Finally getting to see more than 1 or 2 shops. Finding the Lego store. Checking to see how cool it may be for future trip with DGD, more coin squishing. Was originally thinking carriage ride at FW, but thinking a leisurely boat ride from DTD to POR and taking a carriage ride there may flow better. Not sure if either ride is "better" than the other.

Planning a possible day 2 at DTD for a 3D movie (we have to travel to find a 3D theater around here) and maybe DisneyQuest (rather uncertain on DQ).

Also have penciled in the BLT sales tour (already own and have stayed there, but the tour sounds interesting and we may add more points). Also have noted the location of the mini-golf course near BW. May do that. And, of course, will be on BW so will be checking out nightly entertainment. :thumbsup2

I have been thinking about doing the BACKSTAGE MAGIC three Theme Park Tour on a non-park trip. It is kind of expensive, $239 per person after tax. If I am not spending the money on park ticket that I would for sure use the money on that tour. Theme park admission is not required for taking that tour.

We were there in Jan of this year and we also froze, it was so cold. I am from NE Pa so I know cold. I know it may be cold in Feb in Florida, but I will still be away from the snow and relaxing in my DVC room. Maybe I'll be lucky and get some warm weather while I'm there. We have been to Disney for the past six winters in Jan and most have been pretty good. One winter it was warmer in Jan, than our trip that same year in March, so there is no way to know what the weather will be, just hope for the best.

We love visiting the Disney town Celebration, we window shop and have lunch there.
