"No One's Gloomy or Complaining"-in DISNEY WORLD!~An 11/12 TR!-*NEW TR Link pg 56!!!*

Hi! :wave2:

You know what's funny? I forgot how similar we are. And then I read your trip report, and think OH YEAH!!!!! :lmao:

So I am just catching up on trip reports on the DIS, and saw yours and thought, oo, oo, oo!!! And you did not disappoint, my friend!

Some random thoughts -

Love all your pictures. You take some beautiful shots!

I'm hungry for Food and Wine Festival now. :lmao: Thank goodness I'm going during that time frame this year. :thumbsup2

Laila - my mother's favorite perfume. Buy yourself a bottle. You're worth it.

Soarin' - my mother's favorite Epcot ride, and even though I have an inherent fear of heights, something I always look forward to going on now because it makes me feel closer to her. :goodvibes

Disney decorated for the holidays - Beautiful! I've done it once, and your pictures bring back fond memories! It is so neat that you get the combination of Food and Wine and holiday decor!

Cherry Wheat Beer - I'm intrigued. Is it sweet?

Pumpkin Cider - I'm jealous. Sounds SO good!

And last but not least, I love that your husband loves his Disney tees. Something I wouldn't have expected and find to be totally endearing. :goodvibes

I have never been to the Beach Club! Although I'm happy to say that the list of resorts I've not seen gets smaller every year, I still haven't made it there. I want to though, it looks absolutely gorgeous.
Glad you enjoyed your dinner!
Oh man, those Osbourne lights are just amazing. I can't wait for the next chapter!

You are SO RIGHT about the Beach Club lobby smell. Ahhhh...I feel relaxed just thinking about it. :goodvibes The smell in the Polynesian lobby may be my favorite though. :thumbsup2

Loved hearing about Cape May! Most of my family are not seafood eaters, so we have never been there for dinner, but it looks tasty. Also loved your drawings - whenever there is a paper tablecloth, I can't resist drawing something either! :rolleyes1;)

I need to try cape May soon!!!

The epcot resort area is gorgeous! I ALWAYS love being in that area!

I love the picture of your DH watching the cartoons :rotfl: The Beach Club is so beautiful (and also on my list of resorts I NEED to stay at). I've been to Cape May for breakfast and it is one of our favourites. It looks really yummy for dinner too though!

Great update and cute cat pictures! Love the Beach Club and I'm glad you spent some time on the swing just enjoying it.

I agree, I love the Beach Club, it's so pretty and wonderful!!!

Ugh, isn't it SO sad that the Oreo Bon Bons are gone?? They were my favorite part of CMC!

Yay for the Osborne lights!!! :goodvibes

It is totally possible to love two resorts at once....:goodvibes I also love the Beach Club... but then when we go over to the Wilderness Lodge... I'm all crushin on it... (not to mention being kind of fond of the Boardwalk and the AKL)

Great F& W photos... I NEED a Godiva Iced Coffee...(seriously I really do... like right about now...;) Your Pumpkin mousse looked totally yum and I'm with Brandon on the mussels.... I really like them... I just try not to think about it to much...:confused3

Ok I really have to try Cape May... I've just really heard too much about it now...:goodvibes (I think they have the oreo bon bons now in the cases at the quick serve in the Beach )

I have to also stick up for Brandon a little about the Disney Cartoons... they're just extra good there on the hotel tvs.... it's true...:rotfl2:

Love the window shot of Huey, Duey and Louey...:goodvibes

Even though I say Art of Animation is my home, your pictures are making me miss Beach Club soooooooooooo much!!!! I can't believe I could just walk up those stairs and head to my room, on my way back from spending the evening at Epcot or Hollywood Studios. I wish I had taken the time to sit on a swing and watch the sunset though. So pretty!

I love my cats like my real children, so I don't think you are a crazy cat person. ;)

I love the Beach Club so much! Both times that I've stayed there have only been short, 5 day trips though, so I never really had much time to just hang out and enjoy it! Next time I need to spend a lot of time there!

Haha well that's good, I'm glad some people understand being a crazy cat person! :cool1:

Okay so I HAVE been to the Beach Club... but it was at Christmas time, and the whole giant gingerbread carousel display was there, so all I could smell was gingerbread. I have yet to smell the 'real' Beach Club smell!

I HAVE to go to Cape May Cafe... if for no other reason than that I really enjoy coloring.

CAT STORIES!!! We'd get along so well, I'm totally a cat person. I mean, I've never had a dog and I do like them but it's hard to say when you've never actually had one... and I just love cats so much!

Sounds like such a wonderful night. Those pictures are so pretty!

WHAT??? Make sure you go to the Beach Club next month just so you can smell that amazing Beach Club smell! It's perfect! :cool1:

You should go to Cape May, it's really good! They have so many choices, there's something for everyone! And yes, coloring on the table is always fun too!

Haha, yay another cat person! I love dogs, I had one when I was 2 but I barely remember him sooo I've always been a cat person! I'm obsessed with my cats!

It was! I really miss this trip right now! Everything just seemed so much better a few months ago! :sad2:

I know exactly what you mean and I think it's fine to have more than one favorite resort. I mean - how can you not? They are all so special in their own ways.

:rotfl2: That picture would have been even funnier if there were two or three more 5 years sitting with him. :rolleyes1

Yum!

I am a huge cat fan so my opinion of you has not changed in the least. In fact, I can almost picture the real Winston. My personal experience is that Coon cats really don't like to share their humans with other cats so I can definitely see Lenny on the receiving end of some attitude!

You are going to love it there. I just know it!

I agree - very cute indeed!

Fun update Jen! Great dinner and early evening. Bring on the lights!

I'm sure once I branch out and stay at more resorts, I might have more favorites! I loved AKL so much, so who knows, that one may become a favorite someday! And POR is definitely up there too! :thumbsup2

Haha, sometimes there are kids sitting with him watching those cartoons! :rotfl2:

Winston is such a good cat, and he's pretty tolerant of other cats, like when I got Belle 3 years ago, he accepted her, but there was something about Lenny he just did not like. That's why I couldn't keep him and he lives with Brandon's parents, Winston just hated him! I think he wanted to be the only orange fluffy cat in the house, I really do! :rotfl2:

I know I will love the Boardwalk if I ever stay there, I love just walking around there, so how would I not love actually being there? It's so pretty!

Thanks! I can't wait to do my Osborne Lights update! That was such a great night, I'm feeling so nostalgic for this trip right now! :sad1:

The Beach Club looks so pretty at night! For some reason I've been in a Beach Club craze and really wanna stay there on my next trip, and all your photos just reinforced that wish. :rotfl2:
I bet it was nice sitting back and relaxing on the beach for a bit. Not something everyone remembers to do on their trips.

Haha, your cat story had me cracking up, because I do the same thing with my parent's cats. One of them used to be mine, but we had to give her to my mother, because she didn't get along with Alex's dog. But both cats are black and white and one is significantly bigger and fluffier, so my family and I have this whole story about who's the boss of the house.
Sorry about my cat rant...I just saw a cat story and had to jump in!:lmao:

I love the Beach Club! You should definitely stay there, I love it there so much! It was great to just hang out and relax for a while, I hardly ever do that while I'm in Disney! :rotfl2:

Haha, see, you know what I mean! Brandon and I do that all the time with my cats, we actually have given them titles and everything, but I won't get into that here, but it sounds like you guys have the same debate with your black and white cats that we do with Lenny and Winston! :rotfl: Crazy cat people are the best! :thumbsup2

We ate at Cape May too and loved it. It will be on our to do list again

Cape May is fantastic, it's a must do on all of our trips! :thumbsup2

I just caught up on your TR and wanted to say I'm loving it! :thumbsup2

It's my dream to visit during F&W. So cool that you got that many EP visits in!

Looking forward to more.

Yay, thank you! :goodvibes

F&W is such a great time to visit! It's nice to coordinate it with the Christmas season too! :cool1:

Hi! :wave2:

HI!!!! :wave2: Ahhhh I'm so glad you're here!!! :goodvibes

Haha, yes we are similar! I miss you here on the DIS! :sad1: So glad you're enjoying the TR!

Thank you! Someday I'd like to get a real camera and then take a solo trip JUST to take amazing Disney pictures! :thumbsup2

You're taking a Food and Wine trip? Yay!!! It's such a great time to go, where are you staying?

I really need a bottle of Laila. I'll buy one on my next trip, I promise! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself!

That's so amazing that you actually know your mom's favorite ride was Soarin'! And that you can ride it and feel close to her! I wish I could remember what my dad enjoyed in Disney, but it was such a long time ago since our last family trip. I do know he loved roller coasters and remember waiting for Space Mountain for 2 hours on one of those trips! (Wayyyy before Fast Pass lol!) It's funny, I mentioned that to my sister when we were walking through the SM queue in February and she had no memory of it!

Ok, I don't want to start talking about depressing things right now! Moving on!

I love Disney during the holidays, it's my favorite time to go, it's just so much more extra magical! I didn't even know that was possible, but it is!!! :cool1:

Cherry Wheat Beer is amazing! And no, it's not sweet. There might be a hint of sweetness, but it's not like cider or anything, it's just beer with a slight cherry flavor. I love it but Brandon hates it. You should try it, they sell it all year around where we are! It's made by Sam Adams! :thumbsup2

Haha I didn't expect that either, but he loves his Disney tees! I love that he buys so many when we are there, and he wears them in real life, totally unashamed! He's the best! :thumbsup2

You should really visit the Beach Club! Even when I don't stay there, I try to make it a point to see it, it's so beautiful! The whole Epcot area is the best!

I can't wait to do my next update, it was such a fun night! I miss this trip!!! :sad1:

You are SO RIGHT about the Beach Club lobby smell. Ahhhh...I feel relaxed just thinking about it. :goodvibes The smell in the Polynesian lobby may be my favorite though. :thumbsup2

Isn't the Beach Club lobby smell the best?? OMG I LOVE IT! The Poly smells really good too, they are actually kind of similar, but the Poly has more of that Florida water smell!

Cape May is great! And what's so good about it is, even if you don't like seafood, there is still so much else to choose from! Maybe you can convince your family to go someday! Haha, thanks! They bring you crayons, so why not draw on the table! :rotfl:

I need to try cape May soon!!!

The epcot resort area is gorgeous! I ALWAYS love being in that area!

Yes, go to Cape May, you will love it!

I love the Epcot resort area! I wish I could live there!

I love the picture of your DH watching the cartoons :rotfl: The Beach Club is so beautiful (and also on my list of resorts I NEED to stay at). I've been to Cape May for breakfast and it is one of our favourites. It looks really yummy for dinner too though!

Haha, me too! He loves those old classics!

I love the Beach Club, I'd stay there every trip if I could afford it! I would love to try Cape May for breakfast someday, maybe on my next trip! Dinner is really good! :cool1:

Great update and cute cat pictures! Love the Beach Club and I'm glad you spent some time on the swing just enjoying it.

Thanks! I love the Beach Club, it was so nice to just sit and enjoy it for a little while instead of rushing over to DHS! :goodvibes

I agree, I love the Beach Club, it's so pretty and wonderful!!!

Ugh, isn't it SO sad that the Oreo Bon Bons are gone?? They were my favorite part of CMC!

Yay for the Osborne lights!!! :goodvibes

The Beach Club is wonderful! I really love it there!

I can't believe the Bon Bons are gone! I guess you can buy them in the marketplace, but still, not the same!

Osborne Lights!!!! :cool1:

It is totally possible to love two resorts at once....:goodvibes I also love the Beach Club... but then when we go over to the Wilderness Lodge... I'm all crushin on it... (not to mention being kind of fond of the Boardwalk and the AKL)

Love the window shot of Huey, Duey and Louey...:goodvibes

Haha, I don't know what I'm going to do when I stay at more resorts, because I can already see myself being obsessed with the Boardwalk and the Poly! And so far I've only visited them! :rotfl2:

I miss Food and Wine! I need to go back during that time! I want a Godiva iced coffee too! :cool1:

LOL I agree, it's nice seeing the classic cartoons playing at the resorts! :thumbsup2

Thanks, isn't that so cute?

I Love Hollywood Studios!

Monday 11/12, Part 4

Hi everyone! Seems like forever since I've updated here! I can't believe I'm still on Monday, at this rate it will be November again before I finish this TR! :rotfl:

Anyway, when we left off, Brandon and I had just gotten to DHS and were headed towards the Osborne Lights. When we got there, we were happy to see that they were not nearly as crowded as the first night we were there!

I have a ton of pictures, so I'll just post them for you guys to enjoy! The lights are so beautiful!

I love how this next one looks like it could really be the window of someone's apartment!

We waited for a photopass picture under the colorful canopy of lights (I don't know what it's technically called lol!) but it came out terribly, or course, so I'm not putting it up, but luckily, the line wasn't too long so it wasn't a totaly waste of time!

Hidden Mickey!

Something new this year that you could meet Santa Goofy at the Lights! The line was kind of long, but I really wanted to wait, because when else would I get to see Santa Goofy? So Brandon reluctantly waited with me haha! Our picture didn't come out as nice as I had hoped but I suppose I can at least show it to you guys!

By then, Brandon was getting bored and it was around 8:00, so we spent a good amount of time at the lights, so I didn't mind if we left to do something else! But then Brandon remembered he didn't find the purple cat like he did last year, so he had to search for it, he's obsessed!

Finally, he found it! Right when he was about to give up!

We made our way out and went to Star Tours, which had no wait, yay! It was fun, I don't remember anything about which sequence we got, but it was a good time! Brandon wanted to go on again, and there's no way I can handle Star Tours twice in a row, so I said he could go alone and I'd go back to the Osborne Lights! I seriously can't get enough, lol!

I just walked through the lights slowly, taking it all in, in all of it's Christmas/Disney glory. The Osborne Lights are perfect. I've seen them 4 years in a row now, and I don't think I can imagine a holiday season without the Osborne Lights!

After a little while, I figured I should get back to Star Tours to wait for Brandon, and just as I walked up to the exit, he came out, so that was good timing! I think by then it was officially magic hours so I was anxious to get to the Tower of Terror. Unfortunately, I checked the wait time app and it said it was 40 minutes so we took our time walking over there.

Since I was hoping the wait time would go down a little and I was kind of hungry, I decided to get a turkey leg. I always get one when we are at DHS, I don't know why, it's kind of become my tradition! Brandon doesn't like them, and even though they are kind of gross if you really think about it, I love them, they remind me of my childhood trips to Disney! :thumbsup2

Once I finished my turkey leg, we went over to the Tower of Terror and it was only a 5 minute wait, yay!

The creepiest CM was there that night in the library, he was really into his bellhop character! When it was dark, he would sneak up on people and just appear next to them like magic, and everyone was screaming and freaking out, it was hysterical!

We went on and then ran right back through the queue to go on again, and he was still there, being just as creepy! When he saw my Kermit shirt, he said to me in a Kermit voice "enjoy the rest of your trip" and did a little Muppet-y head shake as he said it! It was awesome! I'd do anything to be a CM, especially at that ride? It must be so much fun!

After we went on ToT twice, we went over to Rock N Rollercoaster and went on there! I don't remember how long the wait was, but I don't think it was too bad!

Once we got off RnRC, the park was almost ready to close, it was pretty empty. I think we walked over to ToT to see if we could ride one last time, and we couldn't, which means it must have been after midnight.

We started to make our way out of the park and I took one last picture, because I thought it looked so beautiful, with the Christmas decorations and hardly anyone around! (I also love how DHS absolutely BLASTS their Christmas music, it is SO loud! Which obviously has nothing to do with this picture, but it just reminded me of it!)

I was just SO happy that night! One of my favorite memories which I've mentioned 1,000 times in previous TR's is from the first trip I took with Brandon and how during evening magic hours at DHS, we just ran back and forth between ToT and RnRC all night because there were NO crowds! I've always wanted to do that again, but every time we've come back, the crowds have been too high, and this was the closest we have gotten to doing that in a long time! So between the Osborne Lights and hardly waiting for ToT and RnRC, it was a perfect night at Hollywood Studios. I really love that park, Epcot is my favorite and the Magic Kingdom is perfect, but I really love DHS too. It was my favorite when I was a kid, maybe that's why!

We found our car and went back to POR and went to sleep! It was such a fun filled day and we were both exhausted! And luckily we had a late breakfast ADR the next morning, so we didn't have to get up too early!

Up next...Breakfast, and a spontaneous decision that turns out to be AMAZING!

DHS is gorgeous at night! Someday I will get to see the Osborne lights!!!!

That's so awesome you had such a great time, and got to ride ToT and rnrc like you did!!!

Disney makes things better, even just thinking about it or reading about it!

I'm glad that you had such a wonderful night! Your photos from the Osborne Lights are gorgeous! They really are breathtaking, I can't wait to show them to DH some day.

Wow this sounds like a perfect day! F & W all day and then a basically empty DHS that night? :cloud9: I planned two full days for this year specifically for F & W because we never get to try all the things we want to!

I've been thinking about going back to Disney in December again.... We've only gone once and that was back in 2006! The castle didn't even have icicle lights yet! And we definitely didn't know enough to go see the Osborne lights! Maybe next year.... :scratchin

On a side note, we went out to West Farms tonight and all of the RFC stuff is gone...there's just a wall there now. It was so sad! :(

Sounds like a great night at DHS! Awesome pictures of the Osborne Lights. If I don't get to see them this year I will seriously cry. It has been way too long!

Sounds like a great day at Epcot and your favorite kind of evening at DHS. Although the Studios is definitely my least favorite park, I can't wait to go back there to ride TOT in June and August, and to see the Osborne Lights in December. Those lights are worth the price of admission and you got some great photos of them.

Your pictures of the Osbourne lights are really awesome and you found the cat! :cool1: Yeah!!!!! :cool1:

That CM at ToT really sounds like a hoot! I think he would have completely freaked me out. :rotfl2:

Great evening in HS! Perfect trifecta - the lights, ToT, and RnR!
