No new TV channels at BWV

I'm at BWV now (Sunday, 1/21) and there are no new TV channels. I was looking forward to watching HGTV during my vacation!

It was announced at the annual meeting. Someone recently posted that one of the other DVC resorts had them, I can't remember which one. I think this is more under the control of WDW resorts rather than DVC.

When we arrived at OKW there was a flyer on the coffee table saying that TV service would be interrupted that day, Friday January 13th, to implement the new TV channels. There was a list of channels being added.

So this was NOT a rumor, it was an actual announcement left in the villas.

Needless to say, by the time we left the additional stations were still not added.

I think the TV flyers were a joke that the pizza flyer scammers had at our expense


Although based on the "intermittant" issues some have posted, I am guessing their tv distribution center has the extra channels but now they are finding various filters and/or signal amplifiers that are not compatible.

The Food Network! My secret (not anymore!) addiction. Now I can watch "Chopped", "Cupcake Wars", "Resturant: Impossible", etc., etc. all while eating mt take out snacks from the Boardwalk Bakery. I think I'm in heaven (and "pleasingly plump")

We had the same flyer at CR. I was thinking that the TV's probably need to be reprogrammed to the new channels but never bothered to check and see if that was the issue.
