We ate at the coral reef on 6/22 and did not realize they did away with a salad with your meal. It just seemed odd to me to just get bread and butter but no salad.

It's probably been a while since they included salad with the meal. Over the past 5 yrs. that we've dined there, salads have been a la carte. I can't think of any Disney restaurants that include salad with meals, aside from buffets and family-style, unless it's some mixed dressed greens on the plate with the entree. Some places have special 3 course fixed price meals that you can choose a salad as your appetizer.

I have not ever been offered a salad with the entree. I think the first time I ate there was 2007.

WDW a la carte restaurants generally do not offer salad as part of the meal for no extra cost. The salads are available for separate purchase. There may be a couple of exceptions; I know the dinner skillet at Whispering Canyon comes with salad (although not at lunch).

I can't think of anywhere (outside of TDC Nala's suggestion) of WDW dining that offers anything for no cost with the entree (outside of fries or a veggie). Thinking about it, it's becoming less and less common outside the World as well. The only high end place I can think of that includes soup and salad (and other sides) with an entree is Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa.

The first time I ate there was in 05 or 06, and I didn't get a salad with my meal.
