No More McDonalds at DL

We stay at ASMo when we go and I know we're "almost home" when we see the McDonald's there!!

To each his own in my opinion but I got such a kick out of the number of people carrying MickeyD's in epcot. Really? With all the other choices available? but I feel the same way about the CS in the American Pavillion. Give me any other countries CS or even sunshine seasons please!!

How did all those kids avoid starving at DL & WDW before McDonald's invaded the parks?:sad2:

i NEVER KNEW there was a McDonalds at the parks.. i had heard of there being one someplace else (DTD?) though. i hope they do get rid of them. not that i'm against McDonalds (i will admit, i do love their fries), but i just don't see why they need them in the parks. there's other food that's a lot better and original to WDW!

Resterauntasaurus is the McDonalds at AK!;) IT IS PACKED during the Busiest times of the year, which is ALWAYS! However, it is the only Mickey D's where you can have a Beer with your Burger!

Funny how anti mcdonalds everyone is apparently because its a big corporation its not magical? Its directives fit perfectly with Disney and Im glad for mcdonalds as a company as it does so well. The start of the company is a great story. Its a groundbreaker in food service and even corporations in general, it treats its employees very well and offers affordable food. Employers are always thrilled with seeing mcondalds on a young persons resume. Next time you're by the fry stand note how many people are sitting nearby eating fries, it does ok Im sure. And its a welcome thought to know theres some reasonably priced food at WDW in DTD.

A lot of other companies plastered their logo with less benefit to the consumer well before mcdonalds. To name a few Amex, Kodak, Visa, GM, etc etc. Mcdonalds at least makes some effort to have their stands fit in, and the two restaurants on property are kinda neat looking for sure.

I agree.

There are plenty of other non-Disneyphile websites filled with posters trashing Disney.
They relate how much they dislike the disney company, the films, and the parks.

The McD in Epcot is one of the few places I found sweet tea at and would hate to see this go. I loathe McDs just because we eat it all the time, one of the few things the boy ever wants to eat, but this was good to give him some "normal" food on our trip.

I agree.
I think the larger-than-life McDonald's fits in perfectly with all of the All Star resorts. I don't have much desire to eat there on vacation when there's one right in my town, but it is neat to see as you're driving in. It makes you think "Wow, even the McDonald's is Disney-fied here on the property" Like when the road signs turn from purple to green - you know you're there.

I had no idea there was one in Epcot.

McDonald's is still very much alive and well at Disney World. There is one stand at every park. Plus the full restaurants at Downtown Disney and by the All Stars.

I'm not a fan of McDonald's in the parks and I refuse to eat at them myself at Disney World. But, I'll take them in the parks having fries and nuggets available for kids who need familiar food for lunch or dinner over having those same kids having a meltdown because they are hungry and there's nothing they want to eat. A happy kid eating McDonald's fries is much better than a crying, whining, hungry one. McDonald's is just one food choice. If you don't want to eat there, you don't have to.
Agree completely. I don't want it, but some do and I hate anything that limits choices. Not to mention that all those people at Restaurantasaurus aren't in line with me at Flame Tree BBQ.

I hope McDonald’s stays! Last year we were in DTD and stopped to eat breakfast at McDonalds. It was day 8 of our trip and it was nice to have a little piece of home.

This year, the first day we arrive, our package doesn’t start until the next day. So no free dining that day, I’m paying for food. We are planning on going to DTD to get breakfast at McDonalds. And we can’t wait! :cool1: :cheer2:

Just speaking for myself, I'm not a huge fan of McDonalds, or fast food as a whole. As an occasional, once-in-a-blue-moon treat, I'll take the kids there.

The fry kiosks don't bother me so much. And, I believe I went to AK's Restaurantosaurus back in '01 (the mushrooms and stuff that you could put on your burger is a good idea, helps to set it apart from your typical McD's. Do they still have that?)
The McD's at DTD doesn't really bother me too terribly much either. However, I don't think they should ever grow beyond where they are now at WDW.

Of course, I do prefer the NON-McD's food when I'm at WDW. I can get McD's anytime at home. I can't get Dole Whips!
