Okay, heard about the free shipping at Justice from here on the Budget Board and jumped online ti oorder my DN's Christmas gift. This was December 12.

Spoke to DSIL on Christmas and DN had not received the gift. ARGH. I immediately sent an e-mail to Justice asking about the status. Got a reply the next day stating that it had not shipped yet and that one of the items had been cancelled. Really? It was a sweat suit and you cancel the pants?

Got an e-mail from Justice that it finally shipped on 12/27. As I was on the phone with Justice yesterday, DSIL e-mailed and said that the gift was finally delivered.

My issue is why did I not get an e-mail much earlier stating that one of the items was cancelled and offered a replacement.

Also, it was ordered 12/12. Why was it not shipped in time for Christmas? Hey Justice, you sell girls/tween clothes. When a customer places an order 10+ days before Christmas don't you think that maybe it's a Christmas gift? Wild concept huh?!

My bad is that I assumed the gift had be shipped much earlier even though I never got a shipping notice.

Lesson learned. Will never shop at Justice again. Will just continue to get DN's gifts at Kohls.

I have never bought from them, but I love to shop online. My daughter is turning 11 in Feb so I was looking at some of the clothes there. Thanks for sharing your story. I would have expected an email as well. Most sites that I ordered from this year would tell you what your order vy date is for Christmas delivery. I wonder why they did not have that info posted.

I shopped at Justice until my daughter decided she no longer liked their clothing or their style. She "outgrew" her taste for justice between 12 and 13 (she's 13 1/2 now)

Anyway, I never shopped online at Justice. I preferred the store because you can always find some amazing deals on their clearance racks. Combine that with the 40% coupon and you're good!! So, whenever we would go, we would find one "regular priced" item or outfit and then hit the clearance racks. We always got amazing deals. (sometimes I wish she would still like the clothes from there --- they're sooo cute!)

I think a lot of retailers had problems with their online orders this year. I've had several problems with items not being shipped in a timely manner, and I've heard a lot of complaints from others about cancelled items. I'm just not sure why it's so much worse than years past.

I currently am battling Home Depot on something my mother ordered for me. She ordered it on the 11th, and received an email saying it was shipped on the 14th, which for some reason, didn't have any tracking information - and neither did the order information online - in the place where a tracking number would normally appear, it just said "Not Available". Unfortunately, I didn't know about all of this until Christmas day, when she asked if I had received it. I contacted Home Depot on Tuesday, who gave me a UPS tracking number that clearly showed the item hadn't actually shipped until the 22nd! Hello, what happened to the 14th? Then today, even though I still haven't received the order, I realized that the weight listed on the shipment on the UPS website was WAY too light for what was supposed to be shipped (4 of the same lamps). It took 20 minutes for a Home Depot rep to figure out that "the warehouse" had only shipped 1 lamp, not all 4, by mistake. So now they have to ship the other three, and if I'm lucky and that actually goes off without a hitch (yeah, right), I'll have them all by maybe mid- to late January. A little late, I'd say!

What gets me the most is that during all of this, no one from Home Depot has apologized for the mess-ups at all - not the shipping delay, not the messed up shipment. The least they should have done is upgraded the second shipment to a faster method, but that doesn't sound like it's going to happen. A simple "I'm sorry, let's see what we can do to get the order that you should have had weeks ago to you quickly" would have gone a LONG way.

I order from Justice online all the time for my dd. Typically I get the clothing in a week, but 2 weeks before Christmas I wouldnt risk it. I ordered something on the 9th with delivery scheduled before the 20th. It got here on the 22nd so I wont make that mistake again.

I just had a similar experience with Lands End. Their site advertised free shipping, delivered by Christmas, with the only exception being monogrammed items.

So, I ordered a few Christmas gifts plus a few other monogrammed items, which I didn't expect to get before Christmas.

Well, NONE of my stuff arrived until after Christmas! I would have thought that they would have shipped the non-monogrammed stuff separately knowing that people were likely Christmas shopping.

I was so mad :mad:that I decided to take back what I was buying for gifts...not that my return will matter, but it will make ME feel bettter.:)

So sorry this happened to you at Justice. We typically just shop at the store, so I've never had this experience. However, I must say that their customer service in the store has never blown me away, so I'm not totally surprised.:sad2:

I've shopped online from Justice tons of times and have never had an issue. I agree with not taking a chance that close to Christmas however. I would have gone to the store if it was an important gift. Honestly, the only online stores I would trust that close to Christmas are Amazon, American Girl and Zappos. In my experience, when they list a final date to get your order by Christmas, they are accurate.

I have had the best online service by far from zappos. I ordered Uggs for my daughter in the summer, looked them over a little (checked size, etc) and then stuck them in her closet for cooler weather. Well, the first cool day of fall was predicted and my daughter put on her new Uggs the night before and there was a huge tear up the back of one of the boots. I had no reciept, plus I had ordered the boots months before that.

I called Zappos at 10 PM, they apologized, immediatley sent a replacement pair at no cost to me-they were at my house at 1 PM the following day. They sent a free postage label to mail back the damaged pair, which I did. The best part was a hand written card to my daughter from the cust serv rep at Zappos apologizing for the fact that she couldn't wear her boots the first day she wanted to wear them. To me, that is great service!

Wow - that IS great customer service!! :)

There were many shipping delays due the bad weather in the middle of the country the week before Christmas. Even if your item wasn't being shipped to or from those areas, delays were felt across the country.

This! :thumbsup2

DD9 absolutely LOVES Justice clothing, and it fits her better than any other brand we've bought. I have only ordered once online (a big order) and they were out of stock on several items, all of which were pieces of outfits. So, we got three or four pieces that had no matches. It also took very long for my order to arrive (it was nowhere near a holiday), and I wasn't happy with the lack of email communication.

I will not stop shopping at Justice, but I will stop shopping their website. ;)

ETA: If anyone knows of other reasonably-priced clothing brands for girls that have a fit similar to Justice, I'd be happy to hear about them! We live in a small town/rural area, with not many stores to choose from (JC Penney, Sears, Target, etc). I have to drive an hour or hour and a half to get to any children's stores. I like Gymboree but DD thinks some of it is too babyish now (she wears size 8 tops, 7 slim jeans, size 6 skorts, but none of them are really a perfect fit, if the length is right then they're a little baggy everywhere else; the tops are a little too short and too wide). Children's Place clothes don't fit her right (if they fit around the middle, they're too short; if the length is right, they're too big around the middle, ugh). Old Navy leggings and tops fit her pretty well (size 7/8). At Justice she wears size 8 tops, and 8 slim pants, and they fit PERFECTLY, like they were custom made! I think she has a long torso, which would explain why so many tops don't fit her right. TIA

I ordered from them on 12/18 and received my package on 12/23. There was something on their site saying it would be delivered on time if ordered by 12/19. I sure was glad it was!

this is OT but when i opened this thread i thought it was going to be about the OP not getting his or her due in court. :) lol

back on topic-DD use to wear justice clothing but stopped about 2 years ago. whenever i ordered anything online their cs stunk. so i stopped. also, the girls who work at my justice are not so nice so i am glad i only have to go in there once every now and again for my cousins.

To the PP who asked about other stores-have yuo tried PS by Aeorpostale? DD was slim and fit into their stuff nicely.

I will be sure to check it out, thank you!! :goodvibes

My best friend was dealing with an issue with Justice - she had ordered a couple of clearance skirts for her daughter, which never showed up.

She contacted Justice, who has made HER jump through hoops to get proof from the carrier that it hasn't been delivered. i believe UPS or FedEx delivered it to the post office, who was supposed to make the local delivery, but nobody has been able confirm anything. Justice has made HER follow-up on everything, and refuses to order her replacements or issue a refund until she gets proof that the post office lost it. Yeah, like they're going to fess up to that.

Horrible, horrible service. I am not in the least bit surprised you are having this issue!

I contacted Home Depot on Tuesday, who gave me a UPS tracking number that clearly showed the item hadn't actually shipped until the 22nd! Hello, what happened to the 14th?

This probably happened for one of two reasons - the warehouse marked the order as "picked" and shipped before it actually was, OR UPS just didn't pick it up or scan it when the label was created. It happens...sometimes UPS picks something up, and it won't get scanned until it reaches the destination - i.e., the label won't be trackable on the website.

I have had the best online service by far from zappos...

They are amazing! Their CEO is hugely committed to CS, and they give their reps LOTS of leeway to "do the right thing." I've seen some pretty amazing stuff come out of them, and their profits speak to their commitment to the customer. I managed to escape CS (for now, lol), but I would go back to it in a heartbeat if I could work for Zappos.

If you couldn't tell, I work in an online retail business...I happen to think we rock, but I know there are plenty of people who would say otherwise, hahah.

Dh ordered something for Christmas from a Boy Scout camp. When it didn't come he called there after Christmas. They are up in the mountains on NM and they couldn't get shipments picked up for 2 days because of snow. They had to drive all their packages to the nearest town to get shipped out. It came a couple of days after Christmas.

Good luck
