Sorry if this is old news to everyone. But I was trying to decide on where to eat breakfast in DL during my October trip and was debating between Cafe Orleans, Riverbelle Terrace, and Carnation Cafe. (wasn't interested in a character meal this time so Plaza Inn was out)

Anyway, I called Disney dining to see what seating times they had available and was told that as of September 1, Cafe Orleans would no longer be serving breakfast.

So I just thought I'd pass that info along for anyone else planning meals after that time. I hadn't heard that yet, but it's entirely possible I missed it since I'm not always up on the latest changes happening at DL and DCA. LOL

Hope it helps someone! It narrowed down my choices at least. Now it's between Carnation Cafe and Riverbelle Terrace. :)

hey beth...well that sux but thanks for the update...so if I were you I would go with CC for breakfast...I love the stuff they serve...my 3 favorites are the croissanwich, cinnamon roll french toast, and the croissant benedict...to me it just tastes more like restaurant quality food...every time I eat at RBT for breakfast, unless I get like the fruit plate, it sits on my stomach the entire day and I cant even eat a thing until around 7 or 8 in the evening and while that might be a good thing you know less food blah blah blah, it doesnt feel good on my stomach:sad2:

I had heard there was going to be no breakfast, but I didnt know when. I can call tomorrow to start making my PS's for October. Is this no more breakfast just for the "off-peak" season, or forever?? I have never been there for breakfast and was really wanting to try it.

BTW, we love both Riverbelle Terrace (those Mickey pancakes!!!!) and Carnation Cafe. We are doing both this next trip now that Cafe Orleans is out of the picture.

Thanks Lynn. I actually tried to make one for CC (their food looked so good on some pics I found) but I waited too long and the early times that I wanted were gone. My fault. Breakfast was sort of a last minute thought this time. LOL

So we'll either just snack for breakfast, maybe with some things I bring, OR some things from the bakery. Or we'll do RBT. We'll see.

Any recommendations on what to order from the bakery? :)

I think it's forever. She said they will stop serving it on Sept. 1 and didn't give a resume date so I'm assuming it's permanent. Too bad the pics of the food from there looked really good too. Oh well.

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining, and they said Cafe Orleans is NOT closing forever, just for the "off-peak" seasons, and that is cause the park on most days wont be opening until 10am, and not many people make it back that far for breakfast.

So, a bit of good news!!
Now, off to work to make some magic happen!!:wizard:

Brandy: you just made my day! Thanks for the update!

Oh that's good. Doesn't help me in October lol, but that's ok. So when is it open and when isn't it?

:rotfl: Don't blame me. I only report what I was told which is it's going to stop serving breakfast as of Sept. 1. ;) I'm already over it and ready to grab myself one of those giant cinnamon rolls you were talking about!! :yay:
