NO Magical express?! Best way to / from Long Beach Airport?

[OFF TO WDW!]

I didn't know Disneyland does not have the "Magical Express" bus service from the airports.

With that being said, what is the best methond of transportation to / from Long beach airport? (taxi, car service, shuttle van or other)

Southern California is a different market. In Orlando Disney is a big fish in a rather small pond. They were able to implement ME there. In SoCal Disney is a small fish in a big pond.

Further, DLR is served by 6 airports while WDW only one. So Disney would have to have six Magical Expresses ad DLR. And finally, the vast majority of people arrive to DLR by car and not air. And even then DLR has half the visitors as WDW. Bottom line is airport service is in much lower demand at DLR than WDW and the many different airports makes it non-economical for Disney.

With that said, I think SNA is the best airport to fly into for DLR - not only because it is closest but because it is the most comfortable. It just feels nice.

We rented a car thru Priceline. It was great because then we were able to stop at the grocery store for water & snacks.

The rental car stands are literally a few steps from the outdoor baggage claim at Long Beach. We love small airports! We also drove surface streets to DLR - no freeways.

I agree with those that suggested a rental car. Having lived in So Cal for a while I've learned you really need a car or self travel can become very frustrating. LB is a great, small airport and not far from DL at all.
