She said, "Today we went to Hollywood Studios. It was a chilly, windy day, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway!"

"After some rides and shows in the morning, some of us were starting to get hungry. We had an early-ish dinner planned, so we didn't want to eat too much, but we found ourselves at Catalina Eddie's for a little lunch."






"Keith got a burger and fries (which he layered on top of the burger as usual)."



"I forgot to ask him how it was, but he devoured every last bite, so I am guessing it was good."



"Sophie and Lucy shared some chicken tenders and fries."




"JoJo and I weren't all that hungry, so we picked on their fries a little bit. We didn't want to fill up too close to dinner."



"As we were walking, we noticed a bar set up outside of Sci-Fi Dine In Theater."







"JoJo and Keith decided they were in the mood for an adult beverage, so we stopped. JoJo had a Dewars on the rocks, and Keith went with a Crown straight up. Perfect way to warm up on a chilly afternoon!"

"We started off with some drinks. JoJo had her usual scotch. I went with the Magical Star Cocktail."



"It was tropical and fruity and quite delicious! Not super strong, but that was fine with me!"



"The girls each had Mickey's Bee Bop Drink and were especially excited about their glowing ice cubes."








"Keith ordered the PB&J Milkshake and he loved it! I managed to steal a taste, and I agreed!"




"For an entrée I got the chicken pot pie."



"The flaky pastry on top was so light and delicious. I enjoyed this hearty, warm comfort food more than I can say (it is COLD out tonight!)."




"Keith had the sampler plate."




"He was pleased with all of it, but he said the pot roast was particularly delicious (and tender)."



"JoJo had the meatloaf, and that was a hit, too."





"Sophie went with a hot dog...

"Overall, 50's Prime Time has been our favorite meal so far. Our server, Cindy, was so much fun. We had a great time with her! We were seated quickly, served quickly, and the food definitely did not disappoint. Thumbs up all around."

She said, "We grabbed a quick breakfast at Beach Club Marketplace before hopping on the bus to Animal Kingdom."

"DH got the breakfast sandwich on a bagel (bacon, egg, and cheese) with potato casserole."





"DD had the kids scrambled egg sandwich - came with cheese and a slice of tomato on a goldfish roll and was served with a yogurt parfait (blueberries and raspberries), grapes, and a drink."






"I had the kids baked French toast bread pudding that came with grapes and a drink."




"Everything was good. The kids meals here were a really great deal, especially the scrambled egg meal!"​

"We always eat here when at AK!"



"DD had the ribs with baked beans and coleslaw, I had the 1/2 chicken with baked beans and coleslaw, and DD had the kids grilled chicken sandwich (although she mostly ate my sides and the roll). We also shared an Amber beer."




"We ate everything - it really hit the spot! We love the seating area tucked away behind the restaurant - nice place to relax for a little bit. You just have the be careful for birds!!"


"I threw in a bonus pic of Expedition Everest, we headed there after lunch. It's definitely our favorite Disney ride!"

Wow, I wish I had ordered kid's meals when we stayed at YC a few weeks ago - they look great! Instead we split adult meals and they were pretty blah.

Julie's last update sent today was from their dinner at...


California Grill



She said, "Our last few visits here were disappointments, but we decided to give it a try after the refurb. Unfortunately, this wasn't a great meal overall - mainly due to the service, but we weren't blown away by the food either."

"We checked in and confirmed we needed a booster seat. Headed upstairs and were seated promptly - right next to the area where the food comes out (we realized this week that when dining with a 2 yr old you generally get placed at the worst table in the restaurant - not shocking, but still disappointing). We didn't get the booster seat or a kids menu and had to ask. It took over 15 minutes for the booster to arrive, and our server literally threw the kids menu on the table."

"No crayons or coloring stuff, so DH ran downstairs to our stroller to grab the coloring stuff that we forgot. This is where things got a bit ugly! DD dropped her pacifier, and when I ran around the booth to get it, she leaned over in the booster seat and fell out of the booth into the floor. My fault, but not a single person came to make sure she was ok. Upsetting experience!"

"DH returned just then and we finally got to order. DD had the kids pasta that came with broccolini (no photo received). She ate every single bite."

"Our bread arrived after the food came so we didn't eat much of it."


"The food was good, but not great. Dishes were plopped on the table with no explanation, and our server just wasn't very attentive at all. He kept referring to our meal as "appetizers" and seemed annoyed that we didn't order main dishes. But the 4 dishes we did order, along with 2 drinks each, a kids meals, and dessert as coffee was well over $200 - so not exactly a paltry order."

"DD's meal came with the fruit skewers (which we had to ask for)."



"She loved these, especially the yogurt dipping sauce. Sorry I took the picture after removing the skewers - consider it "deconstructed" fruit skewers!"



"DH and I had coffee (we were heading to MK after dinner so needed a caffeine boost!).





"We shared the seasonal tasting dessert, which featured apple. It was good - but the apple creme brûlée was our favorite part."




"Overall the food was ok/good and our server wasn't great. The meal took 2 hrs and we missed the MK parade. I hate to be negative about the experience, but our experience seems similar to other recent reviews. Unfortunately, we won't be back here anytime soon."

She said, "It was the Play and Dine meal with Disney Jr characters. The food was actually not very good, and I wish they would update the characters to some of the more popular ones! I don't think we would do this meal again!"

"We had a late lunch at Hurricane Hanna's yesterday."




"DD took a very long nap by the pool, and we got some good relaxation time in!"



"DH had the bacon cheeseburger, which had Vermont cheddar and steak sauce. Very good! I had the lobster, shrimp, and scallop roll. Not a traditional New England lobster roll, it has a citrusy sauce in it - but still good! The Parker roll was delicious - nice and soft."






"Since we had a late lunch, we weren't really hungry for dinner. We were in Epcot last night, and stopped by...




...and got DD the cream of mushroom soup."




"This was delicious!! It came with a little crostini."





"We then noticed that the Epcot Character Spot wait was only 5 minutes and got to meet Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy."






"DH grabbed a Uni Broue beer in Canada, and I had another Grand Marnier slushie in France - but we forgot to take pictures!"​

"On Friday we went to...





"We haven't been here in about 4 years so it was definitely time for a visit. Huge language barrier here with just about everyone we encountered - worse than in any other WS country. We liked all the food though."










"I had Paccheri alla crema con pollo - a pasta with cream sauce and chicken...





"It was very good!"



"Mom had the candele, very good! Reminiscent of a lasagne with different noodles she thought!"





"Joe had the prosciutto and melon pizza - it was very good also!!"




"Here was another one of our complaints though - when we ordered we were informed that our entrees might come out at separate times because they come from two different kitchens-- no big deal, for a few minutes. But the pasta came out, we waited a few, decided to start eating slowly... Then finished our food, waited another 5 or so minutes, then the pizza finally came out. I would say it was at least 15-20 mins between them. I would think if you know one kitchen was that backed up that you would delay entering the other entrees for a bit. It was just strange."


"For dessert I had tiramisu- this pic caught Alivia's hand going in for the cream.. We both liked it, haha!"

She said, "After a day off, we headed over to Animal Kingdom yesterday. We did the safari and then headed over to our breakfast at...









"Last year, I couldn't get a breakfast reservation as early as I wanted, so I took the 10:45am reservation I could get. We ended up loving it, because we were there during the lunch changeover and were able to try some of the lunch offerings, too! So, this year I intentionally planned a Tusker House "brunch" at 10:45am."



"Here are some pictures of our plates."





































"We all liked the "jungle juice." The biscuits and gravy were a big hit with all of us. I loved the ham and cheese frittata. Lucy ate more at this meal than she has all week! The bread pudding was very good, and Keith really liked the cheese blintzes."



"The girls had fun with the characters, and everyone agreed that Tusker House got two thumbs up!"

She said, "Last night Keith and I had a night out planned as a (late) 10th anniversary celebration. We had a 7:40pm reservation at California Grill with plans of seeing Holiday Wishes at 9:30pm."


"We checked in at about 7:30pm and were taken upstairs and given a pager. We had just enough time to order a drink in the lounge and take a couple of pictures of the castle before our table was ready."






"Our server was Walter, who was from Medford, MA (the city right next to where I grew up in Melrose, MA)! I can't say enough about Walter. He was amazing. He was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu."





"He highly recommended the Spicy Kazan Roll (which I had planned on anyway!), so we ordered it along with the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli for our appetizers."









Keith and I agreed that the Spicy Kazan Roll might have been one of the most amazing things either of us have ever eaten. It was so unbelievably delicious. The Goat Cheese Ravioli came in a close second; it was also incredible. Walter suggested we make sure to mop up all the extra sauce with some bread, and we gladly obliged!

"For our entrees, Keith chose the Oak-fired Filet of Beef. He ordered it rare and it came out perfect. He loved it, and couldn't believe how tender it was. I had a bite and I agreed. I also loved the tomato risotto it came with. Delicious."






"I chose the Georges Bank Scallops."




"They were served with a curry spice and over a squash ravioli. They were very good, but I enjoyed the squash ravioli more than the actual scallops! In fact, I had thought I had remembered that the squash ravioli were an entrée item of their own, but they were not. The sweet potato gnocchi were on the menu as an entrée item. Looking now at the website, it does list the squash ravioli as an entrée item (and it shows the gnocchi as the accompaniment for the scallops...). Strange. That was not the menu that we were given last night. Maybe it has changed very recently? I would have loved a whole portion of those squash ravioli as my entrée!"



"For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Pudding Cake. It was simply unreal. VERY rich and decadent. Definitely good for sharing!"





"Our meal was timed perfectly (I suspect Walter had something to do with that). We were signing the check at 9:25pm, just in time to head outside for Holiday Wishes. It had started to rain lightly, but not enough to take away from the experience or the amazing view. It was my first time seeing Holiday Wishes, and what a way to do it!"




"We both enjoyed every minute of our experience at California Grill."​

"For lunch, we were in Magic Kingdom. We tried to go to Sleepy Hollow Inn to try the spicy chicken waffle sandwich, but their waffle irons were broken!! Bummer!"
