All these pin codes are a bit depressing for our family who has to travel during the time when there is no offering. I wish at least some sort of little incentive for our package at the end of June. Park hopping add on alone would excite the heck out of me!!!

AAA only discount end of June last year.

No AP or pkg. that was posted here either.

Evidently, it's a popular time & they don't need to offer discounts to fill the rooms.

What date are you going? From the look of your counter it looks to be atleast close to the beginning of june. Are you flexible? The spring codes for free hopping/wp is good for checkins through June 2. So if you could start your vacation June 2 you will still get that discount.

Sadly, our dates are not flexible - June 23 - 30. Our kids last day of school is June 22 and my husband was lucky enough to get a vacation the very next week. I am not willing to pull my oldest son out of school anymore as he is struggling a bit and school is much more important than saving a few bucks at Disney.

No, I did not book AAA. I don't have AAA. I started to look into it but there is no way I can figure out if it would be worth joining just for the fact of saving.

I'm just ecstatic :cheer2: that we are going for an entire week this time with my daughter in tow. I'll just have to "suck it up". I believe at least the dining plan will work great for us after doing the research on that. :surfweb:

Waaa waa me.;) Thanks for your shoulders!

gee I misread your sig imagine that thought it said 4 months 1 week lol.

okay. Mostly aaa memberships cost less but lets go with it costing $60. I think mine costs like 79 for me and my husband (other than the first year deal)...for one card it should be less..if you surf around or call and ask without talking about your disney vacation you might get an offer for new membership...our offer just came in the mail one day without calling but it was my card free and 2 free months. Someone else stated they were offered free membership with disney booking for part of the January is Disney month at AAA.

So POR 175 a night. Discount is 15% from your room (if you get the package you must book through aaa and you still get the same amount of discount there is no extra for there being a package). So you save about 29.50 per night with tax. So in about 2 nights you have paid for your membership. Nights 3 and up are your savings. For me I feel that even break even is worth it because then I have a year of the membership (which can be used for discounts at other places), and for the package I have the added little perks of the diamond card (small dtd discount and closer parking), storytime. There are also other discounts at The World like I will be treating my DH to Dolpins in depth which will save me another $30, and for the family magic tour saving me about 15. So anyway I dont know if that will help you any or not.

Wow Beth - thanks so much for the info. I put a call into AAA Travel, stating that I was not a member (yet) and could they quote me the package as a member for my comparison. The agent has yet to call me back. It would be very nice if we could save some money. Thanks again. You were an inspiring big help!

Well, I'm gonna vent right along with ya!:sad1: Our dates are June 16-27, and alas, no codes...and there probably never will be. As another poster stated, it's a very busy time and Disney doesn't "need" to entice folks to come. So, since we're grumbling...I'd also like to vent about the fact that there are never any "special" events in mid summer either. No Pirates and Princess parties, no Flower and Garden shows, no Food and Wine festivals, no Magical Beginnings, and (of course) no holiday events like MNSSHP or MVMCP. No general codes, no AP codes, no free park hoppers or water parks. And yes...we ALWAYS pay for dining.:headache:

I guess I'll be positive and praise the fact that we have very few rehabs, longer park hours, more showings of nighttime parades and fireworks, very few hurricanes, and definitely warm enough temperatures to swim.:)

And I did save a good chunk of money using AAA. Beth is right...the discounts far outweigh the cost of membership.:thumbsup2

Have fun! 4 months 'til June!:cool1:

I guess we will be joining AAA. The travel agent did call back and it seems POR will be approximately $150 less total after we pay the $50 membership. They will wave the $15 application fee if we book a package. I forgot to ask them about their policies regarding cancellation and how many rooms we can book.

Kanga1 - I'm so glad you vented right along with me. Sometimes we need to just "get it out". I'm not too upset about any other special events as I think we will have our days busy enough! I guess I just wanted a little something freebie - doesn't everyone?
