Just booked some trips for this summer and there wasn't the usual "insurance brochure" in the pack. Is it still available? Where do I get it?

Thanks

Lynn

I just got a slip in my ressie, I never use the insurance. I'd offer to scan and email it to you, but it is on lavender paper with grey print and won't scan worth a flip.

The phone # listed is 866-690-6858 refer to ID# 007004

Somebody has a much better scanner than I do, I'm jealous.

OK, I confess....

I didn't scan it, I photographed it with the digital camera, then used my photo editing software to adjust the brightness and the contrast so it would show better, trim each image and put the two photos side by side into a single image.

Hey, whatever works.... :thumbsup2

If what I have heard the Disney insurance is expensive and not the best deal. I have heard that they will only reimburse you $5 per point. You can probably get a better deal at:

I doubt that they would pay off if you had to cancel. Travel insurance is a reimbursement set up. When you are using points, there is no cash out of pocket so you cannot necessarily prove your loss. However, you may have some luck (as we have) insuring directly through Travel Guard (the same insurer DVC uses).

Wow caskbill you went to all that trouble. :thumbsup2 ..I happened to think about looking in my Dinsey drawer and found one from a year or so ago. I guess there is something good about not throwing stuff away. :)

Caskbill, thanks for posting that. I was going to have to call DVC and get the info.

I have 2 units reserved for this Sept for myself and some friends and I realized the other day that MAYBE I should ensure at least the friends unit due to the joys of hurricane season. Of course I throw that flyer away as soon as it arrives LOL!

Why have insurance in case of hurricanes? :confused3 Dvc has returned all points where they came from due to cancellations involving storms. I was hurricaned out of a VB trip and they called me to let me know that my points were restored to my account. They have done this on at least 2 occasions that I know of. They are really good about storm stuff.
