No I Can't Put The Camera Away! This Is Going On YouTube! New Episode 2/13 - COMPLETE

:offtopic:

OK - I need your help and advice.

Would you...

A) Take a job back with a company where you know you would enjoy working, you love the people, and the job is enjoyable BUT you would be working some evening shifts and a few weekends a month.

OR

B) Take a job that pays $3 more an hour is from 7am-3pm Mon-Fri BUT the work seems very boring and the people although very nice seem like not very much fun and maybe stressful.

Here's the deal, I know I can have job A. They want me back and have basically offered me the job, she just has to get back to me on what schedule I would be working. They are very laid back and I know that they will work with me.
I'm still in the interview process for job B and will be getting a call tomorrow if I have a second interview. They are making their final decision by next Tues or Wens.
I am going to talk to Job "A" tomorrow (because I'm working there... right now I'm considered seasonal so I take hours when they need me and I need them). If I get job B they want me to start on the 22nd. That means that I need to tell job A not to put me on the schedule 'just in case'. UGGG!!!!
I need the money from job A if I don't get job B - so telling them not to put me on the schedule for job A would not be good. PLUS I may make job A mad and then end up without any job (thats a worst case scenario... they are really cool and I don't think they would fire me over that... but I don't want to seem wishy washy)

This stinks, but we are talking an extra $400-$600 a month with job B.

What would you do?????? HELP!!!

Oh My Gosh - you win the award for best TR ever! What fun it was to follow along with your family & friends through youtube! :thumbsup2 And how adorable are your kids  A co-worker is going to WDW in May and staying at WL and I can't wait for their pics and review of the trip (they were supposed to go on the Disney Wonder in December 2009 but that got changed into the May WDW trip).

Good luck with your job dilemma (not much help am I?!!) I would go with Job B only because of the steady hours, no evenings or weekends (I couldn't stay away from those adorable kiddos!) I have faith in you that you will convert the stuffy co-workers into fun-loving people such as yourself! Any decision you make will be the right one!

Thanks for the award - I'll have to tell my DH about it next time he tells me to get off the computer.

Thanks for your thoughts on the job.
One thing that I didn't mention is that the health insurance for job A is very good and the insurance for job B, not so much. The deductible is $5,000. So after weighing that into the mix I think that job B will not work out for us. It may be more money weekly - but it could cost us almost $5,000 for the year! :scared1:

I have room for advancement with job A and know that I'll be making more money (possibly) in 6 months.

Thanks for watching!

I just got this picture e-mailed to me from the 'event'

I have another video half done. I'll have it posted by tomorrow! :thumbsup2

My thoughts on your job decision is that I would want to look forward to going to work each day instead of dreading it. If you can do without the extra $400 - $600 I would choose that. Of course if you really need the money then I would take the better paying job. I do know that working late and some weekends aren't fun either but I like to be happy. I worked some place once where I hated it but I made really good money and I ended up leaving because of my unhappiness. Happy mom's have happy kids. When mom is unhappy everyone pays.

We are thinking the same thing. If job 'B' calls me back, I'm going to tell them I'm not interested. But I do have one last interview at a different company scheduled for Monday. The only reason I'm going to that interview is it is located about 4 blocks from my house!!
I figure I have to see what it is all about and then decide what to do from there. :) I think that companies are being so flooded with resumes that they forget that the interview is also for the job seeker to figure out if they want to work there as much as it is for them to pick a good candidate.

ANYWAY - I have a video to work on. :thumbsup2

Thanks for watching and all the comments everyone!!!

I'm going to an event on the 18th to sign up for the Avon Breast Cancer 3day. 60 miles in 3 days!! :scared1: So until the weather gets better I'll be racking up even more miles!

I would take Job A. Your sanity and happiness at a job is worth MILLIONS!!!!! I've been in well paying, but not so fun and stressful jobs - it stinks! I quit to make less money doing something I liked both times.

Great pic!

I haven't gotten to watch the new video yet - waiting until Henry wakes up so he can watch with me! :goodvibes

For me it's all about being happy where I work. If it were me I would choose job A and since you said you have room for advancement I think it would be worth it. I'd much rather go into work happy each day than be unhappy about it. Like my last position. I think this new one will make me want to wake up each day ohh okay maybe I can stay with this for awhile.

But you know what's best for you and your family so, you have do what you can.

Finally got a chance to watch your last video - I laughed out loud at the guy who got attacked by the birds! He SO deserved that! Yes, I know the birds can be annoying, but to KICK one?!?! They just swarmed him! :rotfl:

And yay for a date night!!! Sum of all Thrills looks like a blast, gotta try that!

I have been meaning to ask as well, what site do you use to get your music? I have a video I have been putting together of a zoo trip, but I can't find any good music that is legal for YouTube.

What a great TR! Can't wait to read/see more!! :woohoo:
How long did you have to train to run the 5K? I'm not much of a runner but am always motivated when I see other people finish a race.
Maybe someday! :thumbsup2

I have to comment real quick and also make a confession - when I was watching your TR through youtube, I didn't have the volume up cuz I was watching at work but now that it's Sunday, I turned it up and now I love it even more! Dexter's comments were so cute when you woke him up :rotfl: Now on to watching the rest....

Ugg! I just had another interview for a job that is 4 blocks from my house and seems amazing!!! But it's only part time.
Now I have to see if I can work out something to have two jobs (if I even get i)

I use freeplaymusic. But now that I'm looking at again, I'm not sure if I am using it right. Oops! Hope I don't get shut down.

Thanks for watching!
I trained for 9 weeks for the 5k. If you do the Couch to 5K I would say you can finish a 5k in about 6-8 weeks. You man not run the whole thing , but you can finish. You should try it!

Glad you like them. Dexter is very silly!

The link didn't work. humm.... so what did he get you? :)

Sorry for not having another episode up.
I've been working every day since my list episode went up and do not have another day off until Thursday. I'll do my best to work on it some more tomorrow after work.
I work tonight from 2pm - 10:30pm (home by 11pm) then I work tomorrow at 5:30am!!! :scared1: Don't know how I'm going to do it!

I hope I don't lose any of my watchers. :flower3:

Oh.... I also wanted to say, I'm a big dork. I'm not doing the Avon Breast Cancer walk. I'm doing the Susan G Komen 3day. I signed up on Friday when I got my tax refund. Now I have to fit walking and raising donations into my schedule.

If you want to donate, here is the link. It's a great organization.

Thanks!

This is the cutest way to post/tell a TR. I LOVE it!!

And on the job front, go with Job A...as someone else said, you'll be much less stressed, plus you already know you can do the job.

Yay for the 3 day! I'm looking into the C25k that you mentioned on your "getting fit" youtube diary...i would LOVE to do our Susan G Komen 5k in October. :D

I'm still here too! What a crazy work schedule! I hope you make it through...take your time on an update, we all know how real life can interrupt! :goodvibes

Thanks for the link too, I'll check it out!
