No hard rock for my 5 yr old

I have told my DH that when he is alone in the van with our DD he is NOT allowed to play any hard rock (i.e. Metallica-DH favorite band) on the radio or CD player.

For these reasons:
#1- DD has a hard time understanding what they are saying
#2- Not being able to understand leads to a lenghty interpretation of every word sung
#3- A lot of these songs deal with issues she doesn't need to hear about nor would she understand fully

So with that said..........

Last night was Father/Daughter bowling night. They are in a family twosome league.
As they are pulling out of the driveway DD reminds DH that he's not allowed to put on any hard rock music (in her normal 5 going on 25yr old attitude).
DH states he knows that. And then DD says..."yeah, because all they sing about is give me some licorice and smack me in the head"!!!!!

DH calls me right away dying laughing to tell me this.

We have NO clue where she came up with that comment!!!!

LOL ... One day at the Mall DD kept crying for a bed time bear. I had no idea what she was talking about. We had only been in 2 or 3 stores (TDS being one of them). She kept on until I asked her to show me. Well she said it was the store DS went to. We had gone in there looking for him earlier. It was Hot Topic if anyone is familar with them. They cater to the teen crowd and carry puck/gothic etc type items and a few retro things. Well DD showed me the talking bed time bear, except it didn't say "It's your bed time". It said "you suck big time".

DD loves to sing and she is making up songs/lyrics all the time.

Maybe I should write what she said down.
If they ever have teeny hard rock like they have teeny pop rock now, you never know she might make a top 10 out of it.
